Khori Louis and Audrey Koenig Earn First Team All-ACC Honors. December 2, 2024 TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State volleyball seniors Audrey Koenig
and Khori Louis were named to the All-ACC First Team on Monday evening. FSU was one of four schools to have multiple players on the All-ACC First Team joining Pitt, Louisville and Stanford. Koenig and
Louis become the first FSU duo to be named First Team All-ACC in back-to-back seasons since Payton Caffrey and Taryn Knuth in the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Koenig has been phenomenal for the Seminoles
all season as she leads the team with 393 kills which is the most she has had in a season as a Seminole. Koenig also leads the team with 49 aces which is the most by any Seminole since Mira Djuric in
2009. The Wesley Chapel, Florida, native was a model of consistency throughout the season as she had a school record 25 consecutive matches where she recorded 10 or more kills. Koenig was named the
ACC Offensive Player of the Week twice this season on Sept. 30 following two wins over rival Miami and on Nov. 11 after wins against Wake Forest and NC State. Koenig also became the sixth FSU player
to reach 1,000 kills in the rally scoring era and is currently second in program history with 1,350 kills. Louis has solidified herself as not only one of the top middle blockers but one of the
best players in the country. The Tallahassee native is second on the team behind Koenig with 328 kills which is the most she's ever had in a single season. More impressively, Louis is hitting at a
very efficient clip as she leads the ACC with a .427 hitting percentage - a mark that also ranks 11th in the country. Louis is well on her way to breaking Brianna Barry's career hitting percentage
record as Louis is currently hitting .383 in her career. Louis also leads the team with 128 blocks and 1.14 blocks per set. This is the first time Louis has averaged more than 1.00 block per set in
her career. Louis became just the second Nole to win the AVCA/GameChanger National Player of the Week award on Nov. 26 following a great weekend in wins against Georgia Tech and Clemson. Louis was
also selected as the No. 6 overall pick in the PVF Draft by the Atlanta Vibe. Player of the Year: Olivia Babcock, Pitt All-ACC First Team All-ACC Second Team All-Freshman Team TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State volleyball seniors Audrey Koenig and Khori Louis were recognized as some of the nation's best on Wednesday morning as they were both named
AVCA Third Team All-Americans. This is the first time that either Louis or Koenig have been named to one of the three All-America teams. They were both named All-America Honorable Mention last season.
The duo became just the fifth and six players in FSU history to be named to one of the three All-America teams, and this is the first time in school history that FSU has had multiple players on one of
the three teams. Koenig and Louis will go down as one of the top duos in school history and both have left their mark in the Garnet and Gold. Koenig ended her career with 1,356 kills which is the
second most in the rally scoring era at FSU. In 2024, Koenig finished with 399 kills which was the most since Payton Caffrey in 2019. Koenig didn't stop there as she was terrific behind the service
line, recording 50 aces over the course of the season which was the most by a Seminole since Mira Djuric in 2009. Koenig had one of the best runs in school history this season as she recorded 10 or
more kills in 25 consecutive matches which was a school record. Koenig earned First Team All-ACC honors for the second consecutive season. Louis saved her best season for last and finished her
career as the most efficient hitter in FSU history. Louis finished her career with a .385 hitting percentage which shattered Brianna Barry's record of .371. In 2024, Louis had a career-high 349 kills
while hitting .430 which ranked first in the ACC and eighth in the entire country. Louis also led the team with 118 blocks and 1.14 blocks per set. Louis picked up First Team All-ACC honors as
well.

No. 20 Seminoles Volleyball Sweeps USF on Opening Night.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 20 Florida State Seminoles (1-0) used a balanced offensive attack to take down the South Florida Bulls (0-1) after a three-set sweep (25-22, 25-14,25-15) on opening night in front of 866 fans in Tully Gym. The Seminoles have now won four consecutive season openers dating back to 2021 and have now won five straight against the Bulls to improve its all-time record to 42-6 against USF.
The Noles had a hard-fought battle to kick off their first set against the Bulls, the lead of the match falling into the hands of both teams throughout the set, but the Seminoles used a 7-2 run to jump out to a 16-12 lead. USF climbed back to tie the set at 21, but the Seminoles scored four out of the final five points to take set one.
The Seminoles showed off their offensive power in the second set as they would take an early lead and never look back in an impressive 25-14 win in the second set. The Noles hit over .500 with Taylor Head and Kyleene Filimaua leading the way with five kills each in the set.
USF jumped out to a 7-3 lead in set three, but the Noles did not stay down for long as they used an 8-1 run in the middle of the set to cruise to a 25-15 win which was sealed with a beautiful block from freshman Johanna Sova.
Kyleene Filimaua led the offensive attack with an impressive 10 kills while Taylor Head and Khori Louis each added nine kills. The Seminole block was in full force with 10 total blocks led by Kelsey Perry with four and Maddie Snider with three. The Seminoles finished with a .367 hitting percentage while keeping the Bulls at a .138 percentage.

No. 20 Seminoles Earn Gutsy Sweep Over UC Santa Barbara.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 20 Florida State Seminoles (2-0) continued its dominance of the Seminole Invitational as they defeated the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos (0-2) after a sweep (25-17, 31-29, 25-22) on Saturday afternoon in the teams' first meeting since 2017.
The Noles fought well in the first set of the day against the Gauchos. The offensive power was showing its true strength through the first 15 points, creating a scoring gap between the two teams before the Gauchos minimized their errors, drawing closer to the Seminoles. The Seminoles closed off this set with an 8-1 scoring run thanks to some timely serving to win the first set 25-17. FSU outhit the Gauchos .318 to .091 in the first set with Kyleene Filimaua leading the way with three kills.
The second set was back-and-forth throughout the entire set, but the Gauchos found a little separation taking a 21-19 lead. The Seminoles fought off six set points and finally prevailed as back-to-back kills by Filimaua gave the Noles its first set point of the set and Khori Louis smashed a perfect set to send Tully Gym into a frenzy to give the Noles a 31-29 win to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the match.
It was another close set in set three with the Gauchos once again taking a 21-19 lead, but FSU dominated late scoring six out of the final seven points capped off by a kill from Maddie Snider to end the match.
The offensive attacks were led by Taylor Head with an impressive 15 kills, with Khori Louis following close behind with 13 kills. The Seminoles destroyed the serving game, having a total of 10 serving aces between the three sets. The Noles finished with a .324 hitting percentage, while holding the Gauchos to a .237 percentage.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 20 Florida State volleyball team (3-0) rose to the occasion on Sunday afternoon as they took down No. 25 Georgia (2-1) in four sets (25-7, 25-14, 17-25, 25-19) in front of a sold out crowd at Tully Gym on Sunday afternoon. Sunday marked the Seminoles' 43rd win over a ranked opponent in school history and was the Seminoles' first non-conference ranked win since beating No. 14 Florida on Sept. 15, 2021.
The Seminoles set the tone early with Kyleene Filimaua and Khori Louis delivering powerful kills that left the Bulldogs on its heels. FSU's relentless defense, highlighted by Emery Dupes' impressive saves, forced Georgia into an early timeout with FSU leading 8-3. Despite their efforts, Georgia trailed for most of the set, struggling to close a persistent five-point deficit. A late surge from the Bulldogs fell short, and Florida State secured the first set with a commanding 25-17 victory.
Georgia claimed the first point of the second set, but the Seminoles quickly retaliated, sending the Bulldogs into yet another timeout with a solid 7-3 lead. FSU maintained a steady five-to-seven-point advantage throughout the set. Although Georgia briefly disrupted the Seminoles' momentum with a successful challenge on an attack error by Filimaua, it wasn't enough. Florida State responded with a timeout of their own at 20-13, regrouped, and rallied to close out the set 25-14.
Georgia found their rhythm in the third set, jumping to an early lead of 5-2. Despite their best efforts, FSU couldn't close the gap and trailed throughout the set. A late push saw the Seminoles reach 17 points, but Georgia's early dominance carried them to a 25-17 win to extend the match to a fourth set.
The fourth set saw a back-and-forth battle with both teams locked at six early on in the fourth set. The two teams were neck and neck at the halfway point and continued to trade points, but with FSU leading 18-17, the Seminoles score seven out of the final nine points to shut the door and seal the victory.
For the third consecutive match, FSU had a different kill leader. Audrey Koenig led the way with 15 kills on 37 attacks. Taylor Head added nine kills to go along with 15 digs. Kelsey Perry made her presence known at the net as she led the Noles with seven blocks, including four in the first set. Kenna Phelan and Loren Robertson each dished out 18 and 16 assists, respectively.

AUBURN, Ala. - The No. 15 Florida State volleyball team (4-0) continued its great start to the season with a sweep (26-24, 25-19, 25-19) over Cal Poly (2-3) on Friday evening at the Auburn Invitational in Auburn, Ala. FSU moves to 4-0 for the first time since 2017.

After FSU jumped out to an early lead in set two, the Mustangs battled back to tie the set at 16, but the Seminoles used a quick 3-0 spurt thanks to an error by Cal Poly, an ace by Kyleene Filimaua and kill by Audrey Koenig to give the Noles some cushion. The Mustangs had chances to cut the lead to two twice in the final moments of the set, but FSU scored the final three points to take a commanding 2-0 match lead.
Set three followed the same path as both teams went back and forth in the early parts of the set. FSU used a 4-0 run to take a 13-10 lead to separate themselves and cruised to another 25-19 win.

The lead once again didn't stay with either team for too long until the Noles finally pulled away with a quick 3-0 run thanks to back-to-back aces from Kenna Phelan to make it 18-15. UCF cut it to 20-18, but the Noles scored five out of the final seven points to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
The Knights found their pace in the third set, establishing an early lead of 8-4. Despite being down 17-10 at one point, the Seminoles kept fighting and managed to close the gap and got within one at 23-22, but UCF rallied to force a fourth set.
Florida State jumped ahead with an 8-4 lead in set four to stop the Knights' momentum. UCF battled back and to cut the lead to one at 13-12, but FSU used a 5-0 run to take a commanding 18-13 lead. The Seminoles went on to take the set and the match by a score of 25-17.
Audrey Koenig was outstanding once again for the Noles as she led the way with 15 kills with a .464 hitting percentage. Koenig has now recorded 10 or more kills in her last five games. Koenig also recorded a career-high five aces for FSU. Taylor Head picked up her second consecutive double digit kill match with 11 kills. Florida State dominated in blocks with 13 total compared to UCF's six. Khori Louis had seven and Kelsey Perry and Henke both had five. Noles Prevail In Five-Set Thriller Over No. 25 Miami.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - When Florida State and Miami get together on the volleyball court, fans can expect a close and thrilling match, and Wednesday night was no different as the No. 18 Seminoles (9-2, 1-0) prevailed in a five-set win (22-25, 25-22, 24-26, 25-18, 15-10) over No. 25 Miami (9-3, 0-1) on Wednesday night in Tully Gym. FSU has now won five consecutive matches over the Hurricanes and increased its winning streak to 17 games inside of Tully Gym dating back to Sept. 12, 2023.
It was apparent early on that the match was going to be tight all night long as each team traded rallies, and the teams were locked up at 15 at the media timeout. The teams traded 3-0 runs to tie the set at 18, but Miami played its best volleyball of the set late and took set one 25-22.
Miami continued to grasp momentum early in the second set as they jumped out to a 10-6 lead. but some great blocking from the Seminoles jump-started a 7-0 run to give FSU the 13-10 lead. Miami fought back to tie the set at 15 then the teams continued to trade points, but the Noles clung to a 21-20 lead. FSU got big kills from Audrey Koenig and Khori Louis to extend the lead to 23-20, and Koenig ended the second set with her 10th kill of the match to tie it up at one.
FSU got things going early in set three and built a comfortable 14-9 lead, but the Hurricanes continued to chip away and used an 8-3 run to tie the set at 17. The teams traded points until Miami had a quick 3-0 spurt to take a 21-19 lead. A kill from Louis and back-to-back hitting errors from Miami gave the Noles the lead at 22-21, but Miami was able to rebound and take the third set 26-24.
In a win-or-go-home set four for FSU, the Noles jumped all over the Hurricanes as they raced out to a 14-7 lead. Miami was able to cut the lead to five, but that was as close as they would get as FSU forced a fifth set with a 25-18 win in set four.
Miami threw the first punch in the fifth set as they jumped out to a 4-1 lead, but FSU closed the gap quickly and tied the set at five. The teams traded points, but the set turned when Miami unsuccessfully challenged a four-hit call on Florida State. Following the challenge, FSU scored the next four points to take a commanding 13-7 lead. Miami did force three match points, but Louis put down her career-high 20th kill to defeat Miami.
Koenig and Louis were incredible all night for the Noles as Koenig had a game-high 23 kills on 59 attempts, both just one shy of her career high. Koenig has come up big against the Hurricanes in her career as she is averaging just over 19 kills in her last six matches against Miami. Louis continued to stay red-hot as she eclipsed her career high once again with 20 kills while hitting. 600. Louis has hit .600 or higher in seven out of the Noles' 11 matches this season.
FSU's defense was spectacular as they held Miami to just a .180 hitting percentage which was its second-lowest mark of the season. Taylor Head led the way with 21 digs, and Kelsey Perry was a force at the net as she had a game-high five blocks.

Noles Sweep Past Canes in Coral Gables.
CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The No. 18 Florida State volleyball team (10-2, 2-0) made quite the statement on Sunday afternoon as it swept (25-23, 25-16, 27-25) No. 25 Miami (9-4, 0-2) at the Knight Sports Complex in Coral Gables, Fla. FSU has now won six-consecutive matches against Miami which ties its longest win streak in the series. This was also just the second time FSU has swept a ranked opponent in a true road game. FSU swept No. 21 Texas A&M in College Station in 2014.
Per usual, the Noles and Hurricanes played a tight first set, but FSU was able to gain a little separation with a 5-1 run to take a 15-11 lead. The Hurricanes quickly responded to tie the set at 17. The teams traded points for the next 12 rallies, but with the set tied a 23, FSU got back-to-back kills from Audrey Koenig and Taylor Head to take the first set.
Set two got off to a hot start for the Noles, and they never looked back in a 25-16 win in set two. FSU scored the first five points in the set and jumped out to an 8-2 lead. Miami responded well and cut the lead to three at 11-8, but that was as close as they would come as the Noles continued to increase their lead to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
The Hurricanes controlled a lot of set three and held a 22-18 lead, but the Noles would not be denied as they went on a 5-1 run to tie the set a 23. The Noles fought off two set points and finally got to match point themselves at 26-25. Koenig put the pressure on with a great serve to force a free ball for the Noles, and Head put down the game's final kill to give the Noles their second win over Miami in five days.
Koenig was once again terrific for the Noles with 14 kills for her eighth-consecutive match with 10 or more kills. Khori Louis also recorded 10 kills on 19 attempts while adding a game-high five blocks. Kyleene Filimaua led the way defensively with 12 digs.

The two teams played a back-and-forth first set, but the Seminoles were not able to find much rhythm on offense as they committed eight attack and service errors to allow the Cavaliers to hang around. Virginia took advantage and were able to put the Seminoles away with a 25-22 win in the first set.
Virginia used a quick spurt in the middle of the second set to pull away from the Noles at 20-16, and FSU was unable to mount a comeback as they fell 25-21.
FSU jumped out to a quick lead in set three, but Virginia responded with a 6-1 run to take a 14-10 lead. The Cavaliers kept the Noles at distance and led the set 24-19. FSU rallied and scored three consecutive points to cut the lead to two, but a service error ended the match.
FSU was unable to find any rhythm on offense the majority of the night as they hit just .174. Audrey Koenig led the way with 10 kills while Iane Henke was a nice bright spot with nine kills on 19 attempts. Koenig has now recorded 10 or more kills in her last 10 matches.

Noles Push No. 4 Louisville to the Limit, Fall in Five Sets.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 21 Florida State volleyball team (11-4, 3-2) gave the fourth-ranked Louisville Cardinals (13-2, 5-0) all they could handle in front of a capacity crowd at Tully gym as the Seminoles came just short of the upset in a five-set loss (25-16, 21-25, 21-25, 25-21, 9-15) on Friday night.
FSU came out on fire and gave the home crowd a lot to cheer about as the Cardinals had no answers for the Noles as they hit .417 in the first set. Audrey Koenig and Khori Louis led the way with four kills each in the first set. FSU used a 5-0 run in the middle of the set to run out to a 19-12 lead and extended the lead all the way to 23-14 and closed it out 25-16. FSU was the first ACC team to take a set from Cardinals all season.
FSU kept the momentum going in the early portions of set two as they jumped out to a 4-1 lead. Louisville stormed back and used a 11-2 run to take a 16-10 lead. FSU cut the lead to two at 19-17 thanks to back-to-back aces from Koenig, but that was as close as it would come as Louisville tied the match.
The Cardinals jumped out to a 9-5 lead early in set three, but the Noles continued to fight their way back and only trailed by one at 17-16. Louisville used a quick 5-1 run to extend the lead to the four and rolled to take a 2-1 set lead.
FSU was not going to go home quietly, and the two teams battled back and forth for the majority of the set. With the set tied at 19, Louisville served one into the net, and Maddie Snider recorded a solo block to send Tully Gym into a frenzy to force a timeout by the Cardinals. Koenig extend the lead to 23-20 and a couple of errors from the Cardinals gave the set to FSU to force a fifth set.
The teams traded points to start the fifth set, but with the set tied at five, Louisville used a quick 3-0 run to separate itself. The Noles got back within two at 11-9 thanks to another kill by Koenig, but Louisville scored the final four points to take the match.
Koenig was phenomenal for the Noles all night long as she recorded 22 kills on 47 attempts for a .340 hitting percentage. Taylor Head tied her season high of 15 kills while also recording 12 digs. Louis was the third Nole in double figures as she recorded 10 kills for the Noles.

Noles Cruise to Sweep Over Syracuse.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - There was little drama on Sunday afternoon as the No. 19 Florida State volleyball team (14-4, 6-2) cruised to a sweep (25-15, 25-22, 25-14) over Syracuse (12-8, 0-8) on Sunday afternoon at the Women's Building in Syracuse, New York.
The Noles controlled the first set from start to finish as they never surrendered the lead as they ran away with the set by a score of 25-15. The Noles hit .379 while holding Syracuse to a .071 hitting percentage.
The second set was much closer as they team traded runs in the early part of the set, but FSU ultimately led 15-11 at the halfway point. The Orange slowly chipped away at the Seminoles' lead and eventually took a 21-20 lead. Khori Louis responded with a kill and a block to give the Noles the lead, and FSU used a 3-0 run to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
The Orange looked to have some momentum in the third set as they jumped out to a 4-1 lead, but FSU used an 8-1 run to take the momentum back. The Noles never let the Orange come within three points as they rolled to a 25-14 match-clinching victory.
Louis returned to her efficient ways as she had a game-high 14 kills on 23 attempts while also adding four blocks. Audrey Koenig reached double digit kills for the 15th consecutive match while also leading the team with 11 digs.

Noles Fall in Five Sets at No. 25 North Carolina.
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The No. 19 Florida State volleyball team (14-5, 6-3) fell in a five-set heartbreaker (25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 32-34, 9-15) to No. 25 North Carolina (16-2, 8-1) on Friday night at Carmichael Arena in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The Noles got off to a great start in set one as the jumped out to an 11-5 lead, but the Tar Heels stormed back to tie the set at 13. The Noles were able to gradually increase their lead to 21-17, and Audrey Koenig finished off the set to give the Noles a 1-0 lead in the match.
The roles were reversed in set two as North Carolina was the one to jump out to an early lead as they led 12-6, but FSU slowly chipped away and tied the set at 17 thanks to a kill from Taylor Head. The Tar Heels created a little separation with a 21-19 lead, but a service error then an ace from Emery Dupes tied the set at 21. The Tar Heels closed the set on a 4-1 run to take the set.
Set three stayed close for the first half of the set until the Noles were able to create some separation to become the first team to 20 with a 20-16 lead. The Tar Heels closed the gap to one at 21-20, a couple of kills from Koenig and Iane Henke and two Tar Heel errors helped the Noles take a 2-1 lead in the match.
Set four was an all-time classic as the teams went back and forth for the entire set. The teams continued to trade points, but it was the Tar Heels who prevailed with a 34-32 win to send the match to five sets for the sixth time in the last eight meetings between the two teams.
UNC used the momentum from the fourth set and jumped out to a 9-3 lead in set five, and the Noles were unable to get anything going as they fell 15-9 in the final set.
Koenig, Head and Khori Louis were all phenomenal for the Noles as they combined for 58 out of the Seminoles 66 kills in the match. Koenig led the way with 22 kills for her 16th consecutive match with 10 or more kills. Louis added 19 kills which was one kill short of her career high. Head added 17 kills and 15 digs for her fourth double double in the past five games. Koenig recorded a double double with 10 digs along with Loren Robertson who had 31 assists and 12 digs.

Noles Cruise Past Duke in Durham.
DURHAM, N.C. - The No. 19 Florida State volleyball team (15-5, 7-3) bounced back in a big way on Sunday afternoon as they put together one of its most complete performances of the year in a sweep (25-14, 25-11, 25-13) over Duke (8-13, 4-6) at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, N.C. on Sunday afternoon. FSU has now won 12 consecutive matches over the Blue Devils dating back to 2015. The Noles became just the third team this season to sweep Duke in Durham.
There was very little drama from start to finish on Sunday afternoon as the Noles jumped out to an early 6-2 lead in set one. Duke scored five out of the next seven points, but the Noles responded with a 12-2 run to put the set out of reach as they cruised to a 25-14 victory.
The two teams went back and forth early in set two, but the Noles used a huge run again in the middle of the set to take a 20-8 lead and went on to win the set 25-11 and take a 2-0 lead in the match.
The Noles found themselves in a 5-1 hole early in set three but quickly erased the deficit with a 15-2 run to flip the script and take a 16-7 lead. The Noles went on to close out the match with a 25-13 win in set three.
FSU's defense was phenomenal as they forced 23 errors by the Blue Devils and held Duke to just 22 kills. It was the first time that FSU has held a team to a negative hitting percentage since Feb. 26, 2020, against Troy.
On the offensive side, the Noles hit .353 and were led by Audrey Koenig and Taylor Head who recorded 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Head recorded her fifth double double in the last six games as she had a game-high 15 digs to go along with her 11 kills. Koenig has now recorded 10 or more kills in 17 consecutive games which is the longest streak of her career. Kenna Phelan led the way with 20 assists.

Koenig's Historic Night Leads Noles Past Wake Forest.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Audrey Koenig put together one of the best individual performances you will ever see as the No. 24 Florida State volleyball team (17-6, 9-4) defeated Wake Forest (13-11, 5-8) in three sets (25-23, 25-23, 25-11) on Friday night at Tully Gym.
FSU came out strong in the first set, jumping to a quick 5-0 lead, but the set quickly became a back-and-forth battle. Despite several lead changes, the Seminoles maintained their composure with Koenig leading the offense with eight kills and Kyleene Filimaua adding four kills. Wake Forest led down the stretch at 22-21, but back-to-back kills from Koenig gave the Noles the lead, and Filimaua put down the final kill of the set to give the Noles the advantage.
The second set was equally competitive, with both teams exchanging momentum throughout. FSU found itself down 22-20, but a block from Iane Henke and Khori Louis tied the set at 22 then back-to-back hitting errors gave the Noles set point. The Demon Deacons cut it to one, but Louis finished the set off with a kill to give the Noles a 2-0 advantage in the match.
FSU dominated the third set from the start as Koenig put one of the most impressive service rallies you'll ever see. The Noles went on a 9-0 run with Koenig on the service line which included five aces from Koenig including a point where she had three consecutive aces. The Noles rolled in the set 25-11 to take the match.
Koenig had the best match of her career as she recorded 20 kills on 35 swings with just two errors to hit .514. Her 20 kills were the most of her career in a three-set match and tied for the most of any ACC player this season. Koenig also had a career-high eight aces which is the second-most aces ever in a match in Florida State history. Her eight aces are also tied for the second-most of any player this season in a three-set match.
Koenig wasn't the only player to make some history at Tully Gym on Friday night as Louis picked up 1,000th kill in the third set. Louis joins the late, great Brianna Barry as the only two Seminole middle blockers to reach 1,000 kills in the rally scoring era. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 24 Florida State volleyball team (18-6, 10-4) demonstrated determination and skill in a hard-fought four-set victory (26-24, 25-16, 19-25, 25-23) over the NC State Wolfpack (12-10, 7-7) at home on Sunday afternoon. This win marks FSU's 10th conference victory of the season and improved to 38-3 over NC State since 2000.
The opening set was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams exchanging points early on. The Seminoles answered with a 3-0 run, putting them ahead 19-16, but NC State fought back, tying the score again at 21. The teams went back and forth until Khori Louis and Taylor Head combined for the block to give the Noles a 26-24 win in the first set.

With the set tied at 23, Iane Henke put down a kill to give the Noles match point then combined with Kelsey Perry for the block to end the match.

Noles Fall to No. 10 SMU.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 21 Florida State volleyball team (20-9, 12-7) fell to No. 10 SMU (24-6, 16-3) in three sets (25-27, 23-25, 21-25) on Wednesday afternoon in front of 692 fans at Tully Gym.
Some great volleyball was on display early in set one as both teams were very efficient on offense. The Noles jumped ahead to a 13-10 lead before SMU stormed back with a 6-1 run to take a two-point lead. SMU extended its lead to 20-17, but FSU rallied with a 6-0 run to capture the momentum and the 23-20 lead. SMU fought back again with four consecutive points for set point, but a kill from Taylor Head and an attack error gave the Noles a set point of their own. Unfortunately, FSU was unable to take advantage as SMU scored the final three points to take the first set. Khori Louis was dominant in the set with seven kills on her first seven swings while also adding four blocks.
Set two was close throughout with no team leading more by three points throughout the entire set. Down 23-20, FSU fought back with back-to-back points to cut it two one, but the Mustangs were able to close it out once again to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
SMU jumped out to an early lead in set three and did not give up the lead until a kill from Audrey Koenig gave the Noles its first lead of the set at 17-16. Much like the previous two sets, FSU was able to capitalize late in the set as SMU took the final set 25-21 to win the match.
Louis led the Noles with 14 kills and five blocks while Taylor added 12 kills.
