HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The No. 6 Florida State beach volleyball team went undefeated on day one of the Beach Burg Invitational tournament. The Seminoles knocked off North Alabama, No. 8 LSU, and Spring Hill College on Friday.
The Seminoles opened the day against the Lions, winning 4-1. Makenna Wolfe and Maddie Trusty struck first on court four, taking the match in two sets. Kenzie Hultquist and Jordan Boulware quickly followed, winning court five 21-15, 21-16. Alexis Durish and Audrey Koenig put on a dominant performance on court one, winning 21-15, 21-13. Bailey Higgins and Carra Sassack won court three 21-11, 21-7, the largest margin of victory on the day for the Seminoles. Gella Andrew and Myriah Massey fought hard but fell on court two in two sets.

FSU then played No. 8 LSU in a thriller which saw the Noles emerge victorious 3-2. Hulquist and McKenna Flaherty earned the first point of the duel, winning court five 21-13, 21-19. LSU then tied the duel by taking court four in two tight sets. Andrew and Massey would retake the lead on court two with a 21-13, 21-15 victory. The Tigers struck back on court three, winning the match in three sets. The duel was highlighted by a three-set contest on court one to determine the winner of the duel. Koenig contributed to the first five Seminole points of the third set with three aces - leading to the Noles taking the court and duel.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - No. 6 Florida State beat FGCU and Southern Miss Saturday afternoon to improve to 5-0 on the young season. The Seminoles shutout FGCU, 5-0, before topping the host Golden Eagles 4-1 to complete the weekend.
Game 1
Against FGCU, the Seminoles swept the Eagles on all five courts. Kenzie Hultquist and McKenna Flaherty got the scoring started on Court 5 with a 26-24, 21-16 win, followed by Makenna Wolfe and Maddie Trusty on Court 4 with a 21-18, 21-13 win. The Noles clinched the match on Court 1 when Alexis Durish and Audrey Koenig closed out a dominant 21-16, 21-14 win.

FORT WORTH, Tex. - The No. 7 Florida State beach volleyball team went 1-1 on Friday afternoon on the first day of the TCU Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas. The Seminoles defeated No. 13 Texas and fell short to No. 4 TCU.
Game One
The Seminoles started the day with a 5-0 victory over Texas in their first meeting in program history. CCSA Pair of the Week Bailey Higgins and Carra Sassack claimed the first point of the duel on court four, winning in straight sets. Makenna Wolfe and Kenzie Hultquist won court five in a tightly contested three set contest. Alexis Durish and Audrey Koenig then won court 18-21, 21-18, 15-12. McKenna Flaherty and Myriah Massey claimed defeated the Longhorns on court four soon before Gella Andrew and Maddie Trusty took court two, completing the sweep.

FORT WORTH, Tex. - The No. 7 Florida State beach volleyball team finished 3-1 at the TCU Invitational tournament in Fort Worth, Texas, this weekend. The Seminoles defeated No. 12 Florida Atlantic and Boise State.
The Seminoles now hold a season record of 11-1. Seniors Makenna Wolfe and Audrey Koenig both reached their 50th career win on Saturday.
Game 1
FSU opened the day with a 3-2 victory over the 12th-ranked Owls. Wolfe and Myriah Massey earned the first point for the Seminoles on court five, winning in straight sets. McKenna Flaherty and Kyleene Filimaua fought in a tight, three-set contest on court four, winning the match 21-18, 18-21, 20-18. Bailey Higgins and Carra Sassack took the Owls to three sets on court three but ultimately lost the point. Gella Andrew and Maddie Trusty then sealed the victory for the Noles on court two, winning in straight sets.

Game 1
Carra Sassack and Bailey Higgins struck first for the Seminoles as they won court four in straight sets. The Golden Bears quickly bounced back and won court two. Audrey Koenig and Alexis Durish then regained the lead on court one, winning the match 21-17, 21-15. The Golden Bears continued fighting winning a competitive three set match on court four to tie the duel. Makenna Wolfe and Myriah Massey outlasted Cal on court four to win 25-27, 21-19, 15-9 and clinch the duel for the Noles. FSU now leads the Golden Bears 2-1 all-time.

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. - The No. 8 Florida State beach volleyball team concluded the East vs. West Tournament with a pair of losses to No. 1 UCLA and No. 2 LMU on Saturday. The Seminoles are now 14-3 this season with all losses coming to top-5 opponents.
It wrapped up an intense weekend which saw the Noles take on four top-20 teams, including the top two teams in the nation in back-to-back matches. The Seminoles proved competitive in the losses, despite the final tally.
Game 1
Florida State suffered a sweep in Saturday's first match against UCLA but put up a fight in throughout the order. FSU played the Bruins tight in the first set on flights but ultimately fell in straight sets on four of five courts. Carra Sassack and Bailey Higgins captured the first set on court four in a match that would turn into a three-set battle. The Bruins captured the second set by a slim 22-20 margin before downing the Noles in the third set.

FSU opened play on Saturday against Erskine, winning 5-0. The Noles defeated the Fleet on all courts in straight sets. The Seminoles were dominant, winning by 14 points in the second set on two separate courts and winning by a 16-point margin on court three in set one.

BATON ROUGE, La. - The No. 7 Florida State beach volleyball team wrapped up the Death Volley Invitational with a 3-1 victory over No. 9 Long Beach State on Saturday. The Seminoles finished the tournament with a 2-2 record and improved to 20-5 on the season.
The Seminoles played the ninth-ranked Beach to decision in their only match of the day, downing them 3-1. FSU is now 7-5 all time against Long Beach State and have won three of the last four meetings. The Beach earned the first point of the dual on court five by retirement before the Seminoles reeled off three straight courts for the win. Carra Sassack and Bailey Higgins would even the score by winning court three in straight sets. Alexis Durish and Audrey Koenig then won court one to give the Noles the advantage. The dual came down to a back-and-forth battle on court five, where the Longhorns clinched the win with a 21-16, 10-21, 15-13 victory. Audrey Koenig and Alexis Durish gave FSU the lead with a win on court one, but LSU responded with a three-set victory on court three to tie the dual once again. In the tournament opener, the Seminoles fell to USC 4-1. The Trojans won three courts in straight sets. Gella Andrew and Maddie Trusty put up a strong fight on court two, pushing the match to a third set before the match was ultimately decided by the Trojans. Makenna Wolfe and Myriah Massey earned the Seminoles' lone point on court five by a score of 22-24, 27-25, 16-14.

FSU opened Saturday with a 4-1 loss to No. 3 Cal Poly. The Mustangs jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but Maddie Trusty and Gella Andrew kept the Seminoles in contention with a straight set win on court two. On court one, Audrey Koenig and Alexis Durish battled back to force a third set after dropping the first 21-10, but Cal Poly clinched the dual with a hard-fought win in the decider.
