NORMAN, Okla. - Sophomore Sophia Fullbrook is in a tie for 20th place in the individual standings, and the No. 16 Florida State women's golf team is in ninth place in the team standings after two rounds of play in the Schooner Fall Classic at the Belmar Golf Course. Fullbrook carded scores of 69 and 70 as the 16 teams in the event played 36 holes on the first day of the championship because of the threat of rain in the area on Sunday. The event is scheduled to be completed on Sunday with a third round of 18 holes.
Oklahoma State is in first place in the team standings as the Cowgirls carded under par team scores in both rounds of play on Saturday. The Cowgirls (first place), Oklahoma (third place), and Houston (fourth place) were the only three teams to card under par scores in the first two rounds of the championship. Oklahoma State leads Iowa State by eight strokes in the team standings. Oklahoma's Meg Tilma, who is playing as an individual, and Sydney Givens of Georgia, are in a tie for first place in the individual standings with identical eight under par scores of 132.
"Today was a good learning day for our young group," said head coach Amy Bond. "Lots of good solid golf but not many putts dropping to help move us up the leaderboard. The girls are all getting more comfortable in this environment; I fully expect them to bounce back with a strong showing in the third round."
Fullbrook led the Seminoles with scores of 69 and 70 for a 36-hole total of 139. She carded two birdies, and 17 holes scored a par or better in finishing with a 69 in her first round of the day. Fullbrook was 1 under par with one birdie and 11 holes scored at par on her final 12 holes of the first round. She began the second at birdie-birdie, finished with three second round birdies, and a score of even par 70.

Pudas Remler totaled two birdies during her first round and finished with a 3 over par score of 73.
Pudas Remler's score of 68 in Saturday's second round allowed her to come within one stroke of tying the best round of her career. She carded a 67 in the first round of the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Invitational during the fall of 2024 while she was a freshman at Kentucky.
Pudas Remler and Seminole freshman Haruhi Nakatani are tied for 29th in the individual standings. Nakatani totaled scores of 70-71 for a two round total of 141. GUADALAJARA, Mexico - Florida State sophomore Sophia Fullbrook is in a tie for seventh place in the individual standings, and the No. 28 ranked Seminole women's golf team is in a tie for second place in the team standings after the first day of the Collegiate Invitational at the Guadalajara Country Club. The 12-team field played 27 of 54 holes on day one, and will complete the remaining 27 holes on Saturday.
Carmen Lim of Washington is the individual leader after the first round of play. She has a 7 under par score through the first 27 holes of play. No. 19 Oklahoma State is one over par after first 27 holes of the championship and hold the team lead entering the second round of play. The Cowgirls hold a five-stroke lead over Florida State and Tulsa.
Florida State begins play on Saturday looking to win the team championship of the Collegiate Invitational for the third consecutive season.
A victory for Florida State in the Collegiate Invitational would mark the second time in program history the Seminoles would have won the same tournament in three consecutive seasons. The Seminoles won the LSU Fairwood Invitational in 1987, 1988 and 1989.
"We did a good job of working the winter kinks out today," said head coach Amy Bond. "Each of the girls did a really good job on stretches of holes that I think they can gain confidence from.
"We made way too many bogies today and we have to turn that around tomorrow. I'm hopeful that we will be more strategic with some of our decision-making and execute better wedge shots. We are hoping the lid on the cup opens up earlier than it did today."
Fulbrook carded an even par score of 72 in round one and finished the first nine holes of the second round with a 1 under par score of 35. She punctuated her first day with an eagle 3 on the par five hole No. 9. She totaled five birdies on her way to her 1 under par score. Fullbrook was never more than one stroke over par during either round of play.
Sophomore Elin Pudas Remler carded scores of 70 and 39 for a 27-hole total of 109. She was in a tie for eighth place following her first round score of 2 under par 70. She carded three birdies and was two under par on her back nine in the first round.
Freshman Haruhi Nakatani and sophomore Alexandra Gazzoli are tied for 28th place with 27-hole scores of four over par 112.
