Men's Golf Piles Up Several ACC Honors. May 9, 2024 By Stephen Stone TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State Men's Golf head coach Trey Jones earned
ACC Co-Coach of the Year while Tyler Weaver was selected as the ACC Freshman of the Year to highlight several All-ACC honorees as the league's top student-athletes and coaches were recognized on
Thursday afternoon. Four Seminoles were chosen to the 15-member All-ACC Team, including first-time selections Gray Albright, Luke Clanton and Weaver as well as three-time member Frederik Kjettrup.
The four members tie last year's program record for most All-ACC Team selections. Jones earned his third ACC Coach of the Year award, also being named in 2008 and 2015. After guiding the Seminoles
to the NCAA Match Play Semifinals in 2023, FSU has backed up its run with another strong year in 2024 that includes a runner-up finish at the ACC Championship, a No. 6 overall ranking, match-play wins
over Florida, Arizona and Georgia Tech and tournament wins at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational and the Jackson Stephens Cup. Weaver becomes FSU's first ACC Freshman of the Year since John Pak in
2018, and joins an exclusive club of five freshman of the year winners (Brooks Koepka, 2009; Hank Lebioda, 2013; Jack Maguire, 2014; Pak, 2018). He enters the NCAA postseason with a 71.71 scoring
average this season, owning two Top 10 finishes in his 11 tournaments played. Weaver finished second overall at the 2024 Seminole Intercollegiate, and placed seventh at the OFCC/Fighting Illini
Invitational. Weaver owns nine rounds this season in the 60s. Clanton is the ACC's top-ranked player at No. 2 nationally, earning three victories this season in consecutive fashion. Clanton won the
Seminole Intercollegiate, the Valspar Collegiate Invitational and the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial - becoming the first Seminole ever to win three straight tournaments. Clanton is on the verge of the
school-record for lowest scoring average at 69.30, and is a Ben Hogan Award Semifinalist. He has eight Top 10 finishes in 12 tournaments played this year. The Hialeah, Fla., native also won
consecutive ACC Golfer of the Month honors and was named the SwingU Golfer of the Month for March 2024. Kjettrup becomes the fifth Seminole to make the All-ACC Team three times, joining Matt
Savage, Koepka, Lebioda and Pak. He was a co-medalist at the ACC Championship, and is second on the Seminoles this year with a 70.56 scoring average. The Denmark native has five Top 10 performances
in his nine tournaments played this year, and will be another key performer in FSU's NCAA postseason aspirations. Albright has enjoyed his best season as a Seminole, shooting 71.22 and owning four
Top 10 finishes in 10 tournaments played. Albright won the Watersound Invitational against an elite field. He ranks second on the Seminoles with 19 rounds at par or less, and is one of four
Seminoles who has played in 10 or more tournaments this year. Albright has recorded nine rounds this year in the 60s. 2024 ACC Men's Golf Player of the Year

Mich. - The Florida State Men's Golf team, ranked No. 5 in the nation after a historical 2023 season, is tied for 10th place in round one of the Folds of Honor Collegiate held at American Dunes Golf
Club after shooting a 7-over par, 291 total on Monday. After a low-scoring back-nine that gave the team a spot at the top of the leaderboard, Florida State switched over to the hardest nine of the
18 holes, which ultimately led to a 10-over par finish on their second nine of the day. South Carolina currently leads the 18-team field at 2-under par. Nick Mathews from NC State leads the
individual 90-player field at 4-under par. The front-nine did not just play extremely difficult for the Seminoles, as six of the top nine most challenging holes were those of the front-nine. On the
front-nine, Florida State was a combined 10-over par, while the back-nine [where they began] was an impressive even-par total. The lowest scoring Seminole in round one was freshman Tyler Weaver.
Making his collegiate debut as a Seminole, as well as competing in his first-ever collegiate tournament, proved to be little of a challenge for the newcomer. Weaver finished the day at 1-over par
(72) and is currently T20. The freshman standout started off his round with a bogey on the 11th hole, but quickly recuperated with a birdie on the 12th. He followed this same pattern on holes 16 and
17 to finish his first nine at even-par. Although a challenging front-nine awaited Weaver, he managed to escape with only two bogeys on the front-nine and captured a birdie on the 6th hole to
finish his first round as a Seminole at 1-over par. Weaver led the Seminoles in par-3 scoring, averaging a 2.75 (-1). The 2023 Carris Trophy Champion was one of only two freshmen to score an
average of 2.75 (-1) or better on par 3's in the first round of the Folds of Honor Collegiate. Three Seminoles finished the first round at 2-over par and are currently T32. Redshirt Senior Cole
Anderson, Senior Brett Roberts, and Sophomore Luke Clanton each shared a round of 73. 2023 Lewis Chitengwa Champion, Cole Anderson, was the only Seminole to shoot under par on either of the nines
on Monday. After starting off the day with a birdie on hole No. 10, he joined his teammates in bogeying the hardest hole on the golf course - the 503-yard par 4, No. 16. Sitting at even-par through
seven holes, Anderson continued his tremendous play and captured back-to-back birdies on the 17th and 18th holes to close out the back-nine at 2-under par. It wasn't until the 11th hole of the day
(hole No. 2), when Anderson hit trouble. After a striking par on one of the hardest holes at American Dunes, Anderson bogeyed four holes in a row, but ultimately pulled his play back together to
finish the round with four pars. Brett Roberts continued his consistent play from last season, carding 1-over par on both nines to total a 2-over par 73 for round one. Although the senior did not
get off to the initial start he wanted, carding a double-bogey on the hardest hole on the golf course, No. 16, he recovered with a birdie on the following hole to move onto the front-nine at 1-over
par. Even with a double on the most taxing hole at American Dunes, Roberts showed his resiliency by opening his back-nine with a birdie on hole No. 1, which only saw six other birdies out of the
90-player field for the entire day. Roberts made three bogeys in a row, following his birdie on the first hole of the front-nine, and climbed up to 3-over par through 13 holes. He joined three of
his Seminole teammates in birdying hole No. 6 to return to 2-over par, where he maintained that score through 18. Luke Clanton, ranked at the top of the Seminoles lineup for the Folds of Honor
Collegiate, followed in suit of teammate Brett Roberts, carding two nines at 1-over par to round out a 73 for the first day in Michigan. With two bogeys to start off the first seven holes of his
first nine, Clanton finished the back-nine at 1-over par following a birdie on hole No. 18 - the 538-yard par 5. Just as his teammates faced difficulty in the opening holes of the front-nine,
Clanton did the same as he bogeyed three out of his first four holes. He quickly showed last season's strength by following his drought with two back-to-back birdies on holes 5 and 6. In his last
five holes of round one, Clanton was 2-under par. He finished the front-nine with three birdies to sit T32 at 2-over par. Junior Michael Mays, second year veteran of the Folds of Honor Collegiate,
opened his first-nine as one of the lowest scoring Seminoles in the five-man tournament roster. After securing two birdies on the back-nine, Mays made the turn at even-par. Although he only faced
two holes of true difficulty on the front-nine, excluding a birdie on the sixth hole, Mays carded a 3-over par 38 to finish T44 at 3-over (74). Mays led the Seminoles on par-5 scoring, averaging a
4.00 (-3). As a team, Florida State was in the middle of the mix on par-3 scoring, averaging a 3.10 (+2), and par-4 scoring, averaging a 4.27 (+15). Par-5 scoring is where the Seminoles showed
their elite play, averaging a 4.53 (-7), which tied them with Oregon State on lowest average scoring for par 5s. Florida State totaled 52 pars and 15 birdies, with all five Seminoles carding three
birdies each in round one of the Folds of Honor Collegiate. September 5, 2023 By Taylor
Caradonna GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - The No. 5 Florida State Men's Golf team completed play in the second round of the Folds Of Honor Collegiate, moving their way up the leaderboard to sixth place after
shooting a 5-over par, 289 total in round two. Michigan State overcame round one's leader, South Carolina, after being the only team to shoot under par in the second round. Michigan State leads the
18-team field at 2-over par. NC State's Nick Mathews continues to lead the individual field at 5-under. The front-nine at American Dunes Golf Club retained its monumental difficulty from the first
round, as Florida State struggled as a team in the opening nine. Although the Seminoles did not get off to the promising start they expected, the team recuperated their play on the back-nine.
Redshirt Senior Cole Anderson and freshman Tyler Weaver led the Seminoles in Grand Haven, Michigan on day two, with both teammates shooting even-par. Tyler Weaver currently sits atop the
leaderboard for Florida State and is T9 at 1-over par in the 90-player field. Although Weaver got off to a rocky start with a bogey on the first hole, he quickly recovered with two birdies on
holes four and six to get to his lowest score of the tournament at 1-under par. He was one of four Seminoles in round two's play to card a double bogey. After making the turn at 2-over par and
bogeying the 10th hole, Weaver never looked back as he captured two back-to-back birdies on holes 14 and 15, followed by a finishing birdie on the 18th hole. Weaver doubled down on his consistent
junior golf play, as he beat his collegiate debut score of 1-over in the first round with an even-par finish in round two. With a combined eight birdies made in round one and two, Weaver joins
teammate Luke Clanton to lead the Seminoles in birdies. Weaver is the top-Seminole scorer and the only freshman to have a 2.75 (-2) or better scoring average on par 3's in the entire individual
field. Anderson joined Weaver in consistent play as the redshirt senior carded three birdies and three bogeys in his second 18 of the Folds of Honor Collegiate. The tale of two nines proved to
be true for Anderson, as compared to round one, his scorecard showed drastic improvement on the front-nine. Through his first six holes on the front-nine in round one, Anderson was 4-over par, whereas
on Tuesday, Anderson posted a 1-under par through those same holes. Moving onto his favorite nine from Monday, Anderson started off the back-nine with a birdie to get to 2-under for the day. It
wasn't until hole No. 13 where he carded back-to-back bogeys to return to even-par. Anderson finished out round two with four pars and is currently T18 at 2-over par. Sophomore Luke Clanton
improved from round two, shooting a 1-over par 72 to finish the day in 24th place. After starting off his first nine with a birdie, Clanton was 3-over through his next three holes due to a bogey on
the second hole and a double bogey on hole No. 4. He captured another birdie on No. 6, the 553-yard par 5, to end the nine at 1-over par. Through an up-and-down back-nine filled with three birdies
and three birdies, Clanton was able to card two of those birdies on his last two holes to score even-par on his final nine of the day. Clanton joined teammate Tyler Weaver in being the
lowest-scoring Seminole on par-5 scoring, averaging a 4.50 (-3). Junior Michael Mays was unable to card a single birdie in Tuesday's round, unlike round one where he carded three birdies along with
an even-par back-nine. Mays started off with two pars followed by two bogeys to push him to 2-over par through four holes, but ultimately found his rhythm as he carded eight straight pars until an
ultimate double bogey on the 13th hole. He returned to his previous smooth rhythm, ending his round with five pars to finish with a 4-over par 75. He is currently 7-over par for the tournament and
T44. Mays leads the Seminoles in pars, totaling 25 over two rounds. Senior Brett Roberts found trouble in his opening holes, falling victim to the treacherous second hole on the front-nine - the
hardest hole on the golf course. Hole No. 2 at American Dunes has, thus far, recorded a +0.63 scoring average which includes 68 bogeys, 13 double bogeys, and six others [more than a double bogey].
Although he faced more difficulty on hole No. 3, Roberts persevered and birdied two out of his remaining six holes on the front-nine. He carried this momentum onto the back-nine, carding eight pars in
a row followed by a birdie on hole No. 15. Roberts finished his last three holes of round two at 1-over par to card a 5-over par 76. He joins teammate Michael Mays at 7-over par for the tournament
and is T44. Florida State once again led the way with Michigan State on par-5 scoring, averaging a 4.67 (-10). The Seminoles were +25 (4.23) on par 4's and +5 (3.13) on par 3's. The five-man team
totaled 105 pars and 32 birdies. September 6, 2023 By Stephen Stone GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - The fifth-ranked
Florida State Men's Golf team ended its stay at the Folds of Honor Collegiate finishing in eighth place, wrapping up its final round on Wednesday evening at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven,
Mich. FSU shot 22-over (291-289-294) for the tournament. Redshirt senior Cole Anderson shot a 2-over 73 in his final round and tied for 16th overall at 4-over (73-71-73). He birdied his final
two holes on 17 and 18 and totaled three for the day on an afternoon where there were several bogeys. Sophomore Luke Clanton shot 5-over for the tournament (73-72-73), including a 2-over showing on
Wednesday, as he tied for 24th. Clanton matched Anderson's three birdies, ending his run on a high note when he birdied the par-5, 538-yard 18th hole. Freshman Tyler Waver tied for 30th at 6-over
(72-71-76). Senior Brett Roberts recorded his best round of the tournament with a 1-over 72, shooting 8-over (73-76-72) over his three rounds played. Michael Mays finished at 15-over.
Men's Golf Ends First Round of OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational in Fourth. September 15, 2023 By Stephen Stone OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. - No. 5
Florida State Men's Golf had a productive first round at the challenging OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational, shooting a 3-over 283 and sitting in fourth place through Friday at Olympia Fields Country
Club. Senior Gray Albright, who is playing as an individual, was Florida State's top finisher for the day as he carded an impressive 4-under 66 to mark a career low. The Ocala, Fla., native racked
up six birdies on a difficult course that has hosted several Majors, starting his first nine holes on the back nine with a 32. Albright has winning experience as a Seminole, earning the 2023
Seminole Intercollegiate title when he shot a 10-under 206 at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club. His score does not factor into FSU's team score. Albright is tied for third on the leaderboard, behind
only Christo Lamprecht (-5) of Georgia Tech and Karl Vilips of Stanford (-5) and tying Jacob Sosa (-4) of Texas. Sophomore Luke Clanton and freshman Tyler Weaver each finished their first rounds at
1-under. Clanton managed three birdies and just two bogeys while Weaver, who had a nice debut at the Folds of Honor Collegiate earlier in the month, totaled four birdies on the day. Both golfers are
tied for 10th. Senior Brett Roberts shot a 1-over 71 to count among the team's four scores, finishing well with a 35 on the back nine that included a birdie and a bogey. Roberts is tied for
25th. Redshirt senior Cole Anderson is 4-over and tied for 57th. September
16, 2023 By Taylor Caradonna OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. - The No. 5 ranked Florida State Men's Golf team posted another solid round at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational, shooting 3-over par to
wrap up day two of the event in sixth place. North Carolina took the lead at 10-under after an 11-under performance in the second round. The Tar Heels hold a six-stroke lead over former team
leader, Texas. Christo Lamprecht of Georgia Tech holds his individual lead of 36 holes at 9-under par. Sophomore Jack Bigham led the Seminoles in round two with a 3-under par 67. Bigham had a
historical comeback, improving his second round score by 16 strokes. Bigham only carded one bogey for the entire day accompanied by four birdies. He had a spotless back-nine, starting off with a
birdie on hole No. 11 followed by back-to-back birdies on holes 14 and 15. With today's score, Bigham tied his career low for the third time. Freshman Tyler Weaver continued to be lights out in
his first year and second tournament as a Seminole. His consistency flourished throughout the day as he posted a bogey-free 2-under par 68. Weaver's precision came about on par 4's today, birdying
hole No. 2 at 467 yards and hole No. 11 at 396 yards. He was the only Seminole to birdie the second hole over two days. Weaver is 3-under for the tournament and in sole possession of seventh place
on the leaderboard. He leads his Seminole teammates on scoring averages; posting -1 (3.96) on par 3's and -2 (4.50) on par 4's. Senior Gray Albright posted a great round, considerate of the fact
that he was unable to card a birdie on day two. Playing as an individual, Albright is even-par for the tournament after shooting a 3-over par 73. Albright's main contributing factor to his
tournament success is due to par 3's. He is averaging a 2.88 (-1) and joins teammate Tyler Weaver on par 4's at 4.50 (-2). Sophomore Luke Clanton found trouble on his first nine of the day, carding
four bogeys in a row on holes four through seven. He discarded this play with six consecutive pars and ultimately shot a much improved 2-over par on the back-nine. Clanton is tied for 44th at
5-over par. Senior Brett Roberts followed suit of Clanton with three consecutive bogeys on the front-nine, but also turned around his game on the second nine of the day. With one birdie for the day
on hole No. 12, the 389-yard par 4, Roberts closed round two with a 5-over par 75. Roberts is 6-over for the tournament and tied for 58th. Redshirt Senior Cole Anderson started off his day
strong with a birdie on the first hole. The front-nine, playing as the more difficult nine for the entire 15-team field, caused trouble for Anderson. After carding three bogeys on the front-nine,
Anderson was able to persevere through the back-nine and shot 1-under on his last seven holes. He is tied for 60th at 7-over par. The Seminoles were one of only two teams (Arizona State) to shoot
par on the hardest hole at Olympia Fields, No. 18. Ranked as the most difficult hole on Golfstat, recording 69 bogeys and six doubles, and averaging a +0.44 score, Florida State proved their
resiliency as a team. OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. - The final round has been cancelled due to unplayable conditions and continuing rain fall.

Men's Golf in First Place at Jackson Stephens Cup. October 9, 2023 By Stephen Stone DALLAS, Texas - The nationally-ranked Florida State Men's
Golf team got off to a blistering start at the Jackson Stephens Cup, sitting atop the leaderboard at 36-under as it nears completion of the second round of stroke play held at Trinity Forest Golf Club

Seminoles Win Jackson T. Stephens Cup. By Chuck Walsh DALLAS, Texas - Florida State's Brett Roberts defeated Arizona's Johnny Walker to give the
Seminoles a 3-2 victory over Arizona and the championship of the Jackson T. Stephen's Cup at the Trinity Forest Golf Club. Roberts and Walker were tied through 16 holes in the deciding match when
Roberts won hole No. 17 by a 3-2 margin to move to 1UP in the match scoring. The pair then tied the final hole to give Roberts and the Seminoles the championship. A year after finishing in second
place in the Stephen's Cup, Florida State and Head Coach Trey Jones claimed the championship in 2023. "I really want to thank these guys (the FSU players) for everything they do for us every day,"
said Jones. "You can't replicate (match play). You can't do it at home. It has to be done here. They (our players) put themselves in that situation to give themselves a chance to win a golf
tournament. It's something they'll never forget, and I won't forget. "I think so (we are the team to beat) anytime we go out with these guys. After the practice round, how comfortable they were and
the focus we had coming out, it felt like we were going to be tough to beat. But you never know in this game. Some things aren't in your control; they did a great job." Kjettrup, a senior, earned

finished his round on the front nine with a 33, which included a run of four consecutive birdies. Clanton finished on the back nine, and with Weaver tied with him atop the leaderboard at 10-under,
Clanton hit a solid approach shot on the 18th hole that still made for a difficult 15-footer. Clanton proceeded to read the left break precisely as he celebrated his make, knowing he secured yet

now, Clanton earned his third straight collegiate tournament win after finishing 15-under (68-66-64) at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial held at Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville, Va. Beginning
with his victory at the Seminole Intercollegiate on March 12, and continuing with his impressive win at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational on March 26, Clanton continued his winning ways this week. A
final-round 64 cemented him as the only Seminole golfer to win three consecutive tournaments played. Despite starting his final round with a bogey on his first hole, it proved to not be indicative
of the type of performance he had in store. The Hialeah, Fla., native decimated the course with eight birdies in his final round, including consecutive birdies on holes 2-3 and 10-11. The energetic
performer earned ACC Golfer of the Month honors for March and has been on an extraordinary pace over the last month: Over his last nine rounds played since winning the Seminole Intercollegiate,
Clanton has shot seven of those rounds in the 60s. Clanton held off Tennessee's Bryce Lewis, who finished at 10-under. Florida State finished second in the tournament at 15-under

match out of reach up three holes with only two to play. Senior Frederik Kjettrup, who was a co-champion of the ACC Championship in stroke play, got his match play off to a strong start after
defeating Georgia Tech's Bartley Forrester, 3&2. North Carolina's Peter Fountain ended the match before Kjettrup mounted his comeback separately against the Tar Heels, being two holes down through 14
before tying the match on the 16th hole after a string of birdies. Senior Gray Albright's match went unfinished against Georgia Tech, but he held a 2UP lead with three holes remaining when Weaver
clinched the semifinals. The finals was billed as a pair of golf heavyweights, the top two seeds from the league in a match that virtually went down to the very end. Despite being down 4-1 later in
the match, both Kjettrup and Brett Roberts stayed resilient despite the loss - nearly helping the Seminoles pull off the comeback. after defeating Georgia Tech, 3-0, but ultimately fell in the championship match against top-seeded North Carolina, 3-1. Redshirt senior Cole Anderson delivered two match-play wins on Monday,
taking down Georgia Tech's Kale Fontenot 3&2 in the match play semifinals and then defeating North Carolina's Dylan Menante 5&3 in the finals. The Camden, Maine, native looked assertive all day and

No. 1 North Carolina 3, No. 2 Florida State 1 Seminoles Off to Big Start at NCAA Stanford Regional. May 13, 2024 STANFORD, Calif. - The Florida State Men's Golf team got off to a strong start
on Monday at the NCAA Stanford Regional, shooting 13-under to sit in second place out of 14 teams at Stanford Golf Course. The Seminoles recorded their second-lowest NCAA postseason round in
program history, only eclipsed by their 17-under score in their opening round of the 2021 Tallahassee Regional held at Seminole Legacy Golf Club. Senior Gray Albright's opening eagle on the par-5,
521-yard first hole was a sign of good fortunes to come. Overall, FSU is in second place and four shots behind regional leader Illinois (-17). Host Stanford is in third place at 11-under, followed by
Ole Miss and Texas A&M in the Top 5 at 9-under apiece. Sophomore Luke Clanton caught fire on the back nine and is tied for second with a 5-under 65. Clanton won last year's NCAA Morgan Hill
Regional and looks to add his fourth win of the season, shooting a back-nine 31 which included four birdies. Clanton only trail's Illinois' Max Herendeen, who is in first place at 7-under.
Redshirt senior Cole Anderson was tremendous in his opening round, tying for seventh with a 4-under 66. He recorded a front-nine 31 and picked up five birdies to continue his solid play after coming
off consecutive match-play wins at the ACC Championship. Senior Frederik Kjettrup recorded just one bogey and is tied for 10th with a 3-under 67, using four birdies to his advantage. He was part of
FSU's five-player lineup whom all birdied the 16th hole, a par-5, 500-yarder. Albright shot even par, while senior Brett Roberts was a counting score with a 1-under 69 as he is tied for 23rd. May 14, 2024 STANFORD, Calif. - Florida State Men's Golf duplicated its tremendous performance from Monday's opening round,
once against recording a 13-under in the second round on Tuesday at the NCAA Stanford Regional at Stanford Golf Course. The Seminoles are now 26-under (267-267) and sit in second place just one stroke
off Illinois' lead (27-under). Sophomore Luke Clanton is hunting down his second straight NCAA Regional title, being tied for the lead at 9-under (65-66) alongside Texas A&M's Phichaksn Maichon.
Clanton hopes to be the third consecutive Seminole to win an NCAA Regional after teammate Brett Roberts did it two years ago at the NCAA Palm Beach Regional. As a team, Florida State would need to
shoot a round of 9-under on Wednesday in order to break the lowest NCAA postseason three-round score vs. par in program history. That score was 34-under by the 2021 team at the Tallahassee Regional
held at Seminole Legacy Golf Club. Clanton's round included four birdies and 14 pars recorded on Tuesday. He tees off at 11:44 a.m. ET/8:44 a.m. PT in Wednesday's final round. FSU is well within
its Top 5 mark needed to advance to what would be its fourth consecutive NCAA Championship. In third place is Texas A&M (21-under), with Ole Miss (13-under) and SMU (10-under) in fourth and fifth
place, respectively. Two other Seminoles are in the Top 6 of the leaderboard in senior Frederik Kjettrup (T4) and redshirt senior Cole Anderson (sixth). Kjettrup had FSU's low round of the day with
a 65, carving up Stanford Golf Course with seven birdies while a double bogey at the par-4, 440-yard 10th hole was his only blemish. Kjettrup is just one stroke off the lead at 8-under (67-65).
Anderson (7-under) remains two shots off the lead after finishing with a 67 in his second round. The Camden, Maine, native delivered six birdies and continues to peak at the most crucial time of the
year. Gray Albright (1-under) is tied for 25th after shooting a 69, while Brett Roberts is tied for 40th at 2-over. May 15, 2024 STANFORD, Calif. - The Florida State Men's Golf team finished its impressive stay at the NCAA Stanford Regional by shooting 28-under (267-267-278) and placing
second overall, advancing to its fourth consecutive NCAA Championships. This year's NCAA Championships marks its first hosted at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. It will be held
May 24-29. Florida State's 28-under score vs. par ties for its second-lowest in postseason history over three rounds played. Senior Frederik Kjettrup nearly completed consecutive postseason wins
after earning co-medalist honors at last month's ACC Championships. He shot 11-under (67-65-67) to finish one shot off the lead, with three birdies and an eagle highlighting his superb final round.
Sophomore Luke Clanton (65-66-69) tied for fifth at 10-under, joining Kjettrup among seven golfers whom recorded each round in the 60s while out at Stanford Golf Course. Clanton added four birdies on
his day. Redshirt senior Cole Anderson (66-67-72) tied for 10th at 5-under, finishing a strong performance that was extended from his previous play at the ACC Championships when he won both his
matches vs. Georgia Tech and North Carolina. Senior Gray Albright (70-69-72) tied for 34th at 1-over and fellow senior Brett Roberts (69-73-70) went 2-over to tie for 36th.
Florida State Men's Golf Tied for 17th at NCAA Championships. May 24, 2024 CARLSBAD, Calif. - No. 5 national seed Florida State Men's Golf endured
a challenging round on a championship-level course at the Omni La Costa North Course in Carlsbad, Calif., on Friday. The result was an 11-over showing that puts the Seminoles tied for 17th following
the opening round of the NCAA Men's Golf Championships. Jack Nicklaus Award finalist Luke Clanton anchored the Seminoles, tying for eighth with a 1-under round. The sophomore got off to a strong
start with a birdie on four of his first six holes, then had a solid back nine with one birdie, one bogey and seven pars on a golf course that produced some lopsided results across all 30 teams.
Clanton is one of 12 golfers in the 156-player field who shot under par in the first round. His five birdies in the round is tied for the fourth most. Graduate golfer Cole Anderson and senior Brett
Roberts, both making their fourth NCAA Championships appearances, finished with a pair of 3-over 75s and sit tied for 63rd. Of the five Seminoles competing, Anderson was the only golfer to shoot
better on the back nine, carding a 36 on his final nine holes. Senior Gray Albright, making his first NCAA appearance, is tied for 112th at 6-over. Frederik Kjettrup is tied for 148th at
12-over. The Seminoles had a respectable showing in par 4 scoring today, shooting 9-over to tie for the fifth-best among the 30-team field. May 25, 2024 CARLSBAD, Calif. - No. 5 national seed Florida State Men's Golf shot 10 strokes lower in Saturday's second round of the NCAA Championships, carding a 1-over
score as it sits tied for sixth overall at 12-over through the first two rounds. Florida State moved up 11 spots on the leaderboard, elevating from its previous position in a tie for 17th entering
the day. FSU's score of 1-over on the day marked the fourth-lowest team round of the 30 participating schools. FSU joined Tennessee as the two schools to move up by double digits on Saturday. Two
Seminoles recorded under-par scores on Saturday, as seniors Gray Albright (-1) and Frederik Kjettrup (-1) came up big with formidable rounds. Albright had three birdies and a double bogey, while
Kjettrup added five birdies. Kjettrup's 71 marks his lowest round at an NCAA Championship since his freshman appearance in 2021. Graduate Cole Anderson also had a good showing with a 1-over score.
The Camden, Maine, native totaled three birdies in the round. Sophomore Luke Clanton continues leading the Seminoles after being tied for 15th at 1-over (71-74). Senior Brett Roberts also shot a
3-over 74 in the second round and is tied for 40th at 5-over (75-74). May 26, 2024 By Stephen Stone
CARLSBAD, Calif. - The Florida State Men's Golf team, seeded fifth overall, put together its best round of the weekend as it shot 2-under and vaulted up to fourth place following the third round on
Sunday at the NCAA Championships held at Omni La Costa North Course in Carlsbad, Calif. FSU is 10-over for the NCAA Championships. In front of FSU on the leaderboard are Illinois (-2), Virginia
(+4) and Vanderbilt (+9). The Seminoles move past the Top 15 cutline and now aim to make the Top 8 following Monday's final stroke-play round. The Top 8 teams of the 15 remaining teams following
Monday's round will advance to the match-play quarterfinals on Tuesday. Sophomore Luke Clanton fired a 2-under 70 on Sunday, igniting a Seminoles squad that started the day tied for sixth on the
leaderboard. The Hialeah, Fla., native recorded three of his four birdies on the front nine and had just two bogeys on the day. He capped his round with a late birdie on the par-4, 491-yard 17th hole.
Clanton is tied for seventh overall at 1-under. Senior Frederik Kjettrup has shook off his tough start in the opening round by shooting another under-par round, carding a 1-under 71. He recorded
four front-nine birdies on holes 1, 2, 5 and 6. Senior Brett Roberts also had a key round with an even par 72. After recording a 37 on the front nine, he finished strong on the back end with a 35
and three birdies in his final nine holes. Graduate Cole Anderson added a 1-over 73 for FSU's final counting score, while senior Gray Albright shot 7-over. May 27, 2024 CARLSBAD, Calif. - For the third time in the last four years, No. 5 national seed Florida State Men's Golf has clinched a Top 8
spot into the NCAA Championships Match Play Quarterfinals. The Seminoles finished fifth in stroke play on Monday, shooting 12-over for their four rounds (299-289-286-290) at Omni La Costa North Course
in Carlsbad, Calif. The Seminoles will take on North Carolina in Tuesday's NCAA Match Play Quarterfinals, a rematch of last month's ACC title match. Sophomore Luke Clanton battled for the
individual title, tying for second at 2-under (71-74-70-71) after shooting 1-under on Monday. Clanton put pressure on tournament winner Hiroshi Tai of Georgia Tech, trailing by just one stroke after
making a birdie on the 13th hole. Clanton played a strong final round with four birdies to three bogeys. Clanton's 15 total birdies over his four rounds played tied for the fourth-most in the
entire field. His second-place finish ties for the highest by a Seminole at the NCAA Championship alongside Daniel Berger in 2013. Graduate Cole Anderson tied for 31st at 6-over (75-73-73-73), once
again recording a counting score in his final round where he shot 1-over. Anderson delivered a four-round stroke-play performance that gave the Seminoles a boost, adding 15 pars on Monday. Senior
Brett Roberts tied for 46th at 9-over (75-74-72-76), adding two birdies in his final round. The Coral Springs, Fla., native completed his fourth consecutive NCAA Championships appearance along with
Anderson and Frederik Kjettrup. Kjettrup's big comeback in the tournament also benefited the Seminoles, tying for 49th at 10-over (84-71-71-72) and shooting an even-par round on Monday. He earns a
conditional membership for the remainder of the season to the Korn Ferry Tour as a result of a Top-10 ranking on the PGA Tour University list. He also would earn membership to the PGA TOUR
Americas. Senior Gray Albright tied for 67th at 14-over (78-71-79-74). 2024 NCAA Championship Finals/May 24-27, 2024 Seminoles Reach First National Championship Match. CARLSBAD, Calif. - In what was a rematch of its match play pathway in the ACC Championship a month
ago, No. 5 National Seed Florida State Men's Golf took down North Carolina, 3-1, and Georgia Tech, 3-2, to reach its first NCAA Match Play Championship on Tuesday at the Omni La Costa North Course in
Carlsbad, Calif. The Seminoles will face Auburn on Wednesday night. Senior Frederik Kjettrup's winning putt on the 17th hole in the NCAA Match Play Semifinal against tournament individual
champion Hiroshi Tai sealed FSU's ticket to the National Championship Match - its first appearance in program history. Prior to this year's championships, the Seminoles twice made semifinal
appearances in 2010 and 2023 but were unable to reach the title match. "Knowing what I was going to face, and what we were going to face, we told our guys 'You never have this thing won, and you're
never out of it," FSU Head Coach Trey Jones said. "Having three of those guys two down, and one of them coming back to win is what did it for us. I'm proud of the guys. I'm so happy for them."
Kjettrup won his match vs. Georgia Tech 3&1, completing an impressive round. Freshman Tyler Weaver stepped up mightily, going 2-0 on the day with the clinching NCAA Quarterfinal putt against UNC
and taking down Georgia Tech's Kale Fontenot on the 19th hole. Weaver's victory brought the match even at 2-2 and set the stage for Kjettrup's winning putt against the Yellow Jackets. Sophomore
sensation Luke Clanton came back twice on Tuesday to defeat both of his UNC and Georgia Tech opponents. He finished off Christo Lamprecht, 2&1, after winning each of his last four holes to give FSU
some tremendous momentum. Match Play Quarterfinals: FSU 3, UNC 1 Weaver clinched FSU's second consecutive trip to the NCAA Match Play Semifinals after making a par putt on hole No. 7 to
defeat UNC's David Ford, 3&2. Clanton delivered a big win over Austin Greaser after being three holes down with nine holes left to play. He turned things around to get a 2&1 victory, FSU's second
confirmed win in the match. Brett Roberts got a nice win as well, putting FSU's opening point on the board when he took down UNC's Peter Fountain, 2&1. The 3-1 win by the Seminoles avenged their
loss to the Tar Heels in the ACC Championship match a month earlier. No. 5 Florida State 3, No. 4 North Carolina 1 Seminoles Reach First National Championship Match. CARLSBAD, Calif. - In what was a rematch of its match play pathway in the ACC Championship a month

Auburn in Wednesday's NCAA Golf National Championship, 3-2, at the Omni La Costa North Course in Carlsbad, Calif. The match was about as close as it gets, with each team securing two wins apiece
before coming down to the anchor match. In the end, Auburn's J.M. Butler was able to put away the Seminoles on the 17th hole to defeat FSU's Luke Clanton, 2&1. Despite the loss, the 2024 Seminoles
made program history by becoming the first FSU squad to reach the National Championship Match. It also marked their first time reaching Match Play in consecutive years. "I'm just gutted for them
right now," FSU Head Coach Trey Jones said to the GOLF Channel afterward. "I know runner-up in a National Championship is something we'll look back on as a good season - this team never finished out
of the Top 5 all year along - but we came here to win. It's disappointing." Freshman Tyler Weaver went 3-0 in NCAA Championship Match Play, getting a 2&1 win over Josiah Gilbert on Wednesday to put
FSU's first point on the scoreboard and tie the match officially at 1-1. After sitting out all four stroke play rounds, the ACC Freshman of the Year subbed in and got three impressive match-play wins
over North Carolina, Georgia Tech and Auburn. A par on the 17th hole gave Weaver the win. Graduate golfer Cole Anderson won his last match by taking down Carson Bacha, 1UP, as Anderson had to hang
on during the 18th hole. Anderson led Bacha 3UP through 15 holes, but the Auburn Tiger came back to win holes No. 16 and 17 before Anderson held off the rally on 18 with a beautiful chip shot right by
the hole. A missed par putt by Bacha secured the win. Anderson, Frederik Kjettrup, Brett Roberts and Gray Albright leave as one of the most decorated senior classes in program history. Anderson,
Kjettrup and Roberts each made their fourth NCAA Championships appearance, while Albright enjoyed a historic season capped by an All-ACC Team selection. Sophomore Luke Clanton recorded one of the
best single seasons in program history, and figures to enter next year as one of the most accomplished returning players. Clanton Named Division I PING First-Team All-American During
Wednesday's National Championship, Clanton was announced as a Division I PING First-Team All-American in partnership with the GOLF Channel. Clanton joins Wenyi Ding of Arizona State, Mats Ege of
East Tennessee State, Nick Gabrelcik of North Florida, Ben James of Virginia, Jackson Koivun of Auburn, Christo Lamprecht of Georgia Tech, Gordon Sargent of Vanderbilt, 2024 NCAA Division I Individual
Champion Hiroshi Tai of Georgia Tech, Michael Thorbjornsen of Stanford, and Brendan Valdes of Auburn. The Hialeah, Fla., native has enjoyed one of the most decorated single seasons in FSU history,
becoming the first Seminole ever to win three consecutive tournaments. No. 6 Auburn 3, No. 5 Florida State 2
