John Parsons, 5-10, 150, Sarasota
Bill Odeneal, golf coach at Florida State for the past five years, has resigned his position as Assistant Professor of Physical Education to
enter private business. Odeneal's resignation becomes effective April 20, though he will step down immediately as golf coach, "to give my successor more time to plan for the remainder of this
season as well as begin recruiting and scheduling for next year." Athletic Director Vaughn Mancha said a new golf coach will be named "in the near future." Odeneal, 42, came to FSU in 1949 and
coached the FSU volleyball team to three national championships. His five-year record as golf coach was 56-23-3.

Dave Philo competed as an individual at the NCAA Championships in Wichita, Ks
and place 35th. On page 29 of the 1964 Spring Sports Media Guide it says he is an All-American.
Hugh Durham was appointed head golf coach soon after Odeneal's resignation.
