Considered by many to be Florida State's greatest women's golfer, Caroline Westrup is the only four-time All-American and the only four-time All-ACC selection in school history. Westrup enters the Florida State Athletics Hall of Fame ranked sixth in school history with a career stroke average of 73.23. She is ranked second in school history with five individual tournament victories and she helped the Seminoles win five tournament championships during her career. She earned All-America First-Team honors in 2006 and 2007 by the National Golf Coaches' Association and GolfWeek Magazine, All-America Second-Team honors in 2008 by the NGCA and GolfWeek and All-American Honorable Mention by GolfWeek in 2009. Westrup was Florida State's top individual finisher in 27 events during her career, ranks second in school history with 18 top-10 finishes, shot her career best single-round score of 66 five times and counted .98.6 percent of her rounds (108.5 of 110) toward the team score during her career and is tied for fifth in school history with 42 rounds scored at par or better. Westrup competed in the NCAA Championship finals three times and won the individual championship at
the 2006 World Amateur Championships. She is also one of only six players in school history to earn All-American Scholar Athlete honors as named by the National Golf Coaches' Association of America
three times. Seminole All-American Westrup To Be Inducted Into WGCA Hall Of Fame. November 12, 2024 By Chuck Walsh TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State Golf All-American Caroline Westrup, who won five individual championships as a Seminole, will be inducted into the WGCA Players Hall of Fame on December 9, 2024 at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas as announced by the Women's Golf Coaches Association. She is the first player from Florida State University to be inducted into the WGCA Players Hall of Fame. Westrup earned All-American honors in each of the four years she played at Florida State. She was a Al-American First-Team selection by the WGCA in 2006 and 2007. Westrup's 73.23 career stoke average was the best in school history at the time of her graduation; she is currently ranked 10th in school history for the lowest career stroke average. In 37 career events, Westrup won five individual championships and earned 18 top-10 finishes. During her career she scored 42 of her 110 rounds at par or better with 12 rounds carded under 70. Westrup played in three NCAA championship finals and earned a pair of top-12 individual finishes - tied for 12th in 2007 and tied for 13th in 2006. "To be inducted into the Women's Golf Coaches Association Player Hall of Fame is a huge honor for me," said Westrup. "College was four amazing years with my coaches and teammates. I share this award with all of them. Florida state has a huge place in my heart and I will always bleed Garnet and Gold." Westrup became the first four-time All-American and the first four-time All-ACC honoree in program history. She was inducted into the FSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019. Westrup was a standout student as well, earning a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District team twice, the WGCA All-American Scholar Team three times and the All-ACC Academic team on four occasions. Westrup is currently the head coach at the University of Missouri. She began her coaching career at UMG Academy (2018-21) and was an assistant coach at Georgia (2022). Under Westrup's guidance, three Tigers posted a stroke average under 74.00 for the first time in school history during the 2023-24 fall and spring seasons. Westrup began her professional playing career in 2009. She competed on the LPGA, LET and Symetra Tours and won two professional events - the 2005 Ladies Finnish Masters (while still an amateur) on the LET Tour and the 2015 Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge on the Symetra Tour.
