Leonard Hamilton isthe Seminoles' all-time winningest coach and the fifth all-time winningest coach in ACC history. He is a five-time National Coach of the Year winner, three-time ACC Coach of the
Year honoree and two-time Big East Coach of the Year selection. Under Hamilton, Florida State won the first ACC Championship in school history in 2012 and finished first in the ACC regular-season
for the first time in 2020. He has won at least 20 games in 12 of his 20 years at Florida State and has led FSU into the postseason 16 times. He has a 394-240 record at FSU and 594-450 in 34 seasons
as a collegiate head coach.
Hamilton's 2019 team, which advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, set several FSU records including the most wins in a single season with 29. Coupled with an
appearance in the 2018 NCAA Elite Eight, the 2019 season marked the second time in school history that the Seminoles advanced to at least the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in consecutive seasons.
Hamilton's commitment to the academic and personal success of his players is unmatched. Since the start of the 2003 season, 71 of his 73 players (97.3%) who played through their senior year earned
their degrees.
