Kerry Dunning has been a sportswriter for nearly 40 years including 39 seasons as the first female beat writer covering Florida State athletics. She is an award winning writer and the first female office in the Florida Sportswriters Association. While a writer/columnist for the Palatka Daily News, she has also published articles and photographs for multiple sources, including AP, UPI, Reuters, NYTRNG, GolfWorld, and Daytona International Speedway publications. Kerry graduated with a BA from Florida State in 1971. While a student, she served as president of the Southern Scholarship Interhouse Council, and in Garnet Key. Kerry is a Seminole Booster and a member of the Varsity Club.
