Crematory, Wilson, N.C. Deborah Jeanne (Debbie) Parramore age 76 passed away
peacefully on January 20, 2022 in Ocala, Florida, surrounded by her loving
family. Debbie was born on September 6, 1945 in Quincy, Florida. She was a
graduate of Ralph L. Fike High School, Wilson, North Carolina and later
received her Master's in Physical Education from Florida State University.
Debbie went on to teach at Florida State University and Coach the Women's
Swimming Team. She also taught and coached at Columbia College, Columbia,
South Carolina and at Mars Hill University, Mars Hill, North Carolina and
spent the majority of her career working with the American Red Cross. Her
love of animals was beyond measure. This passion led her to Farrier School
and upon graduation started Rocky Comfort Forge and was a member of the
Florida Artist Blacksmith Association, this endeavor would lead to
establishment of Rocky Comfort Farms in Quincy, Florida.
Debbie truly
lived life to its fullest and did it her way. She enjoyed the simple
pleasures of life, sitting on the back porch and chatting with family and
friends, strolling through the ole farm reminiscing of times gone by,
riding the dogs around the farm in the golf carts and Debbie never met a
stranger.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Lisa and Dean
Doering, a nephew and his wife, Christopher and Kimberly Langley, a
step-nephew and his husband, Dennis Doering and Antoine Sharp, step-niece
and her husband, Ashley and Wes Giudice and many cousins, Joseph Parramore
and his husband Jerry Swank, Donnie and Jane Taylor, Donna Taylor, Tonya
Taylor, Tony and Paula Pratt, Ray and Diane Randall, David and Julie
Randall, Tom Randal and husband, Arturo Chavez and many more. Debbie was
preceded in death by her parents Alton and Frances Parramore of Wilson,
North Carolina.
