tennis, golf coach dies at 79.
Keith Pitchford, a former golf and
tennis coach at Florida State, died on Friday. He was 79.
Pitchford was
the tennis coach from 1953-58 and golf coach in 1968. He also was athletic
director of intramural sports at FSU.
Funeral services will be at 10:30
a.m. Monday at Bevin Colonial Funeral Home, with burial at Tallahassee
Memory Gardens.
A native of Buford, Ark., he lived in Tallahassee since
1953. He taught school in Arkansas and Florida, including several physical
education classes at FSU.
