Trudy Anne Raybun, 52, died Thursday, October 11, 2007.

Trudy was a 1977 graduate of Florida State University. After a year of teaching and coaching high school volleyball, she worked for more than 20 years for the FSU Athletic Department as an academic advisor. Since 2003, Trudy was employed by the Gadsden Correctional Facility as an instructor and counselor. She was a gifted and beloved advisor and teacher for thousands od students and inmates over the past 30 years.

She is survived by her mother, Nell J. Raybun; two aunts, Annette Stark and Margaret Moore; her uncle, Andrew Greenwood; and several cousins. In addition to her immediate family, Trudy is survived by her “adopted” Tallahassee family, Terry A. Hume, Amy L. Hume and Samuel J. Holly and by innumerable friends and former students whose lives she touched and invariably enriched.
