Ron was born in Columbus, Georgia on March 31, 1956. He had a diverse and fulfilling life, shaped by his experiences as part of a military family, living and traveling to many places in the United States, as well as enjoying time abroad living in Germany where he attended Heidelberg High School before his family returned to the United States and settled in College Park, Georgia. He graduated from Lake Shore High School with many athletic accomplishments in various sports, but most notably, successes in track and field.

Ron went on to attend Auburn University during his freshman year of college. He transferred to Seminole Community College in 1975 where he won the Jr. College State championship in the 1500m. In the fall of 1976, he went to Florida State and was a member of their cross-country team. By 1978, Ron's dreams and focus turned to the 1980 Olympics and he moved to Gainesville, Florida where he joined the Athletic Attic Track Club and trained with elite track and field athletes. He enjoyed the hard work and friendships he formed during this special time and never gave up his competitive drive and spirit, carrying it into every aspect of his life. This attitude contributed to his success and personal growth beyond athletic pursuits.

Ron moved to the Tampa Bay area from Gainesville in the early 1980s where he met his wife, Lynn. They made their home in the New Tampa area and raised their three children, embracing a lifestyle that involved engaging and supporting their kids in competitive sports (gymnastics, soccer, football, and competitive cheerleading). Ron was a dedicated father who was deeply involved in all aspects of his children's athletic and academic endeavors as he profoundly believed his support was foundational in instilling in them a strong sense of self-worth, resilience, motivation, confidence, and balance.

Ron's commitment to athletics and his community continued beyond his or his children's competitive pursuits. They led him to volunteer in various capacities, including his involvement in YMCA youth football, allowing him to share his passion for sports with young athletes, and serve as a mentor and role model for the next generation.

Notably, Ron took his passion for sports one step further. He became one of the founding members of the Pop Warner youth football league, specifically the New Tampa Sharks, playing a pivotal role in establishing a platform for young individuals in the community to engage in organized football as well as learn values like teamwork and discipline.

Over the years, Ron's professional journey spanned diverse industries, from the United States Postal Service, UBS, Raymond James, United Healthcare, and Delta Airlines. He balanced his professional and cherished family life with his pursuits to maintain a balance with healthy lifestyle interests - biking, running, and weight lifting.

Of course, when football season was here, he loved cheering on his Green Bay Packers, often with his cherished furry kitty family members by his side - Mr. Bibbs and Jordy (named after Jordy Nelson-GB Packers elite). His passion for the team which he has loved and supported since childhood, was well known and he would often gather with Packer friends over the years to enjoy and celebrate.

Ron is survived by his beloved children, Lindsey, Scott, and Matt (Jenn), and their mother, Lynn, his siblings Bob, Tracy Beldon (Mark), Rick (Lisa), and nieces and nephew, as well as many lifelong friends he shared experiences and enduring memories with.
