Mahoney, passed away on May 15, 2015. She is survived by her partner
Susan Hoppenrath, her sister, Lisa Harms and her mother Diana Mahan
Mahoney. Janis was born and raised in Florida by her parents Bill and Diana
Mahoney. She attended Bolles School and Florida State University. She later
transferred to Speed Scientific School of Engineering at the University of
Louisville. She went to work at National Distillers for the first couple
years before moving to Humana. She spent the rest of her career working in
Healthcare IT in the technical services area. She retired as the Senior
Director of Technical Services at Kindred Healthcare in 2005.
