Obituary for Jack Harvey Hall, Sr. Published in The Atlanta
Journal-Constitution on May 5, 2015. Jack Harvey Hall Sr. died April 29, 2015 surrounded by his
loving family. Harvey was born August 13, 1935 to Ralph & Louise Falk Hall
in Greensboro, NC. Soon after, with sisters Renie (Lehman) & Joanne
(Brunson), they moved to Tampa, FL where he attended Ballast Point
Elementary, then Plant High School. After a year of prep school at St.
Andrews School in Sewanee, TN, he went to Florida State University, where
he graduated with a BS in Business in 1957. Harvey played football, track &
boxing in high school and lettered in track at FSU. He held various offices
in Phi Delta Theta Fraternity & remained an active member and founder of
the FSU Varsity Club. While at FSU, he met and married Beatrice "Beachie"
(Bunting) from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and they just celebrated their 59th
anniversary. Harvey started his own manufacturer's rep company Pro
Marketing, Inc. in the 1970's in Atlanta, GA. The highlight of his life
were his 6 sons as they excelled in sports & activities at North Springs
High School, UGA, Furman University, etc. He coached their little league
teams and was president of the Athletic Association. Upon their college
graduations, each of his sons joined the family business which grew to be a
conglomerate called Hall Boys, Inc. and has employed over 2000 people.
Harvey is survived by his loving wife, Beachie, and their 6 sons and their
families: Jack Harvey Jr., married to Leslie Wright Hall, and children
Jenny (Mrs. Brian Winter), Chad Hall and Kelly (Mrs. Matthew Stafford) &
great grandchildren Braden, Trent and McKenzie. Rick, married to Donna
Gallagher Hall, and daughters Erin and Lauren Hall. Bill, married to Page
Vandiver Hall, and son Merritt Hall. Greg, married to Leslie Klaesius Hall,
and daughters Meagan, Maddie and Ellie Hall. Tim, married to Erin Pfaff
Hall, and twins Ryan and Mary, son Cash Hall. Joel, married to Jeannie
Noren Hall, and daughter Gracie, son Jack Hall. And "adopted" son Jim
Horton, sister Renie (Mrs. Fred Lehman), brother Richard Bunting, and many
nieces and nephews. Harvey loved his sons' wives as daughters and enjoyed
his grandchildren as they excelled in scholarship and sports at Wesleyan
School in Norcross, GA., FSU, US Air Force Academy, UGA, College of
Charleston, University of Hawaii, Samford U, Ole Miss and the NFL. Harvey
was predeceased by his mother & father and sister, Joanne (Mrs. Charles
Brunson).
