Selected as a Champion Beyond the Game in 2010 Tracy Pepoon came
to FSU from Fort Walton Beach, Florida. At FSU she earned a Bachelor of
Science degree in Marketing in 1993, a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Multinational Business in 1994, and a Masters of Business Administration in
1998. She joined the FSU Cross Country and Track teams as a walk-on,
eventually earning a full scholarship. During her years competing for the
Seminoles, Tracy was recognized as the Cross Country teams' Most Valuable
Performer (1992-1993) and as the Track team's Distance Most Valuable
Performer (1993-1994). While at FSU, Tracy was also on the Dean's List and
Conference Academic Honor Rolls. Following completion of her MBA, Tracy
joined International Business Machines (IBM) in New York, where she has led
numerous key marketing initiatives for the corporation. She has been
identified as one of IBM's "Next Generation" of leaders, receiving multiple
awards for marketing excellence and was selected to represent IBM at UCLA's
Women's Leadership Institute. Tracy also led a team to create the
25,000-member strong "Super Women's Group" which was recognized by the
prestigious national Women's Congress and Women in Technology as a program
of networking and retention programs. Tracy has continued her love of
running, even representing IBM at Penn Relays. Additional hobbies include
sailing, painting, and community activism. |
