Risto Kalevi Pyykko Obituary. Published by findagrave.com. Risto entered Into Eternal Rest on Saturday morning at his home in Corona, CA with his loving family by his side. Born in Helsinki, Finland, Risto was the beloved son of Yrjo and Helmi Pyykko. He was especially proud of his alma mater, Florida State University, where he was the top butterfly performer for the Florida State team in 1963, scoring first place in 3 of the 5 matches against other colleges. He proudly served his adopted Country while in the United States Air Force. While stationed at Shaw AFB in Sumter, S. C., he swam with the Elks Club swim team. Risto was a dedicated, hard-working sales professional and business owner. Along with his loving wife, they operated Hallmark stores in the Southern CA area. Risto was very devoted to his family; he will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 53 yrs, Martha Lee Pyykko, 3 daughters Debbie, Liisa and Pam, 9 adored grandchildren: Erika, Liisa, Evan, Spencer, Reese, Taylor, Olivia, Tanner and Kameron, one great-grandson Eli, a dear sister, Pirkko Liisa Bremer as well as by many other cherished family members and all of those who knew him. Martha died in Corona on 5 January 2015, having been born 15 September 1939. One of the on-line condolences: "Dearest Ris,
