John Louis Prekup, III Obituary. Published in Florida Today, Cocoa, Fla. on Oct 13, 1999, page 13. Cape Canaveral - John Louis "Bud" Prekup III, 61, a former engineer consultant in the aerospace industry, died Sunday, Oct. 10. Mr. Prekup was born in Chester, Pa. He came to Brevard County in 1969 from Hollywood. He was involved in work on the original Mercury capsule. Prekup was a graduate of Florida State University, where he was an All-American swimmer. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mims. Mr. Prekup enjoyed fishing. Survivors
include his wife, Debbie Prekup of Titusville; daughters, Michelle Schmoyer
of Stuart and Alisa Miller of Fairfax, Va.; father and stepmother, John and
Jean Prekup II of Humble, Texas; mother, Annette Prekup of Hollywood;
brother, Ron Prekup Sr. of Edgewater; sisters, Adrian Aldinger of Oakland
Park and Marlene Corbett of Merritt Island; and one granddaughter. |
