From the FSU Website, seminoles.com. Harold Kent Mills Obituary. Kent Mills, of Bend, died Saturday of small-cell carcinoma. He was 69. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Bend. A graveside service will be held in Michigan. Mr. Mills was born March 17, 1937, in Suth Bend, Ind., to Harold and Rose (Wright) Mills. He served as an electronics warfare officer in the U.S. Marine Corps for 13 years and attained the rank of major. He married Nancy Wilson on Dec. 28, 1972, in Durango, Colo. Mr. Mills owned and operated two engineering service companies in Virginia and Bend. He retired in 2004. He was a lifelong competitive in multiple sports, including modern pentathlon, biathlon, marathon, running, cycling and cross-country skiing. Survivors include his wife; a son, Brent, of
Bend; a daughter, McKenna, of Bend; his mother, of Sturgis, Mich,; two
brothers, Terry, of Apple Valley, Wis,; and David, of Fort Myers, Fla.; and
two sisters, Judith Sharrow, of Memphis, Tenn., and Susan Markham, of
Illinois. |
