Thomas Joseph Babjak, 70, died Saturday, May 10, 2003 at his home. The Ansonia, Connecticut native was the former principal of Marlow Elementary School and had coached at various schools in Chatham and Effingham Counties. He graduated from Florida State University and received his Masters Degree from Mississippi College. He had been in the restaurant business for several years. Survivors: son, Sid Babjak of St. Simons Island; daughter, Marisa Babjak-Wiggins of Lakewood, CA; and grandchildren, Jennifer and Bryan Babjak of Valdosta.
