on Mar 15, 1994, page 10. Franklyn Maher Kircher, age 59, died March 13,
1994. Born March 8, 1935 in Lansing, Mr. Kircher, son of Fred L. Kircher
who was Dean of Lansing City Council at the time of his death in 1960,
graduated from Eastern High School in 1953 and Florida State University in
1957. He was a proud member of the U.S. Army from 1957-1960, serving in
Counter Intelligence in Western Berlin. From 1960 till his death, he was
General Manager of the Kircher Corporation, owner of the East Kalamazoo
Center, a block of retail and office buildings on East Kalamazoo St. He was
the Membership Secretary of Ingham County Humane Society from 1968-1978 and
served as a caring companion to numerous fatherless boys in the 1960's and
1970's. Predeceased by 1 nephew, Craig Frederick Kircher, Mr. Kircher is
survived by a loving friend, Jerilyn Haber; 1 daughter, Mrs. Lisa M. (Jon)
Wilson; 1 son, Bryan Maher Kircher; 3 grandchildren; 1 brother, Fred Lewis
(Sharon) Kircher, Jr., all of Lansing; 1 sister, Mrs. Ruth A. (Bill)
Tomkinson of Owosso; aunts, nieces and nephews.
