17, 2018. Robert Carl Stuke, born in Chicago in 1934, Bob moved to Lake
Worth with his mother when he was a teen. He graduated from Lake Worth High
School where he competed in swimming and diving. Bob developed a lifelong
friendship with his LWHS class of 1953 schoolmates, that lasted until his
death. Accepting a scholarship to FSU, Bob competed on the dive team, and
graduated with a BS in 1956. After moving back to West Palm Beach, Bob
taught for a few years, and then moved into the Insurance business. He
worked for B.D. Cole, Bob DeYoung, and eventually started his own insurance
and real estate business in North Palm Beach, and spent most of his life in
Juno. Bob loved everything water and was active with the Palm Beach Fin
Divers, and operated yearly trips to Grand Cayman in the 70's and early
80's. Bob, known as "Coach Bob" to his alanon friends, always introduced
himself as such, and the name stuck. Coach Bob spent time in Tallahassee
cheering on his beloved Seminoles, was a Seminole Boosters board member,
and was involved in the FSU Alumni Association Emeritus program. Coach Bob
is survived by his daughter Allison Stuke Mulkey, and his son Robert Carl
Stuke, Jr. Coach Bob suffered from ALS late in life, and passed away
peacefully after a short time in hospice. The family would like to thank
the staff at HarborChase as well as Jan Holmes for their loving care of our
Father.
