Watkins, Wiley L., 77, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, S.C. He was predeceased by a son, Scott L. Watkins. Survivors include his wife, Jane Watkins; three daughters, Stephanie Watkins Wargo of Tampa, Charisse W. Sheppard of Temple Terrace, Christine L. Anderson of Valrico; two stepsons, Brandon Shaw of Woodbridge, Va., Charles Yager, of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; a sister, Lynn Shealey of Tampa; nine grandchildren, Stephen E. Wargo, Dane J. Wargo, Nicole M. Sheppard, Courtney C.L. Sheppard, Joseph W. Sheppard, Clayton L. Sheppard, Joshua S. Anderson, Mackenzie G. Anderson, Brian W. Anderson; and two great grandchildren, Madison N. Wargo and Tyler S. Wargo. He was born April 17, 1924 in Tampa, a son of the late William Tatum and Virgil Lynn Watkins. Mr. Watkins was a former Golf Pro at Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club in Temple Terrace, Fla., and a veteran of World War II, and he moved to Murrells Inlet from Temple Terrace in 1988.
