Funeral Home, Blountstown, Florida. Jack L. Revell, Sr., 75, of
Bristol, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019. He was born April 12, 1943
in Altha, FL to the late Liberty County Sheriff, Silas Gordon Revell, Sr.
(Dick) and Liberty County Supervisor of Elections, Clara Belle Anderson
Revell. He was raised in Bristol until his senior year of high school. His
family then moved to Tallahassee where he graduated from Florida High and
signed with Florida State University to play football for the Seminoles. In
1962, he married his high school sweetheart, Carol Lindsey of Sumatra and
together they raised their three children in Tallahassee. They shared 26
wonderful years together until her death in 1988. In 1963, Jack began his
26-year career in Law Enforcement with the Leon County Sheriff’s
Department where he worked his way up to the rank of Captain. In 1989, Jack
married Cathy Brock and returned to Bristol to help raise her five
children. They shared 30 loving years together. He was an active member of
First Baptist Church, Bristol and was ordained a Deacon in September of
1989. Jack owned and operated Revell Furniture Store. Later, he served as
the Liberty County Probation Officer for 15 years. Jack’s legacy was
extremely important to him and there is no greater evidence of that than
the love he had for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; a
brother, Edward Steven Revell; and his wife, Carol Lindsey. Survivors
include his wife, Cathy Brock Revell; sons, Lance Revell and his wife,
Michele of Havana, Lawrence Revell and his wife, Kimberly of Tallahassee,
John Brock and his wife, Connie of Bristol, Jason Brock and his wife,
Amanda of Bristol; daughters, Lynn White and her husband, Sheriff Eddie Joe
of Hosford, Katy Gunn and her husband, Justin of Bristol, Amy Partridge and
her husband, Kevin of Bristol, Julie Mayo and her husband, Ricky of
Blountstown; 27 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren; his brothers,
Silas Gordon Revell and wife, Mary of Bristol, Gene Revell and wife, Marsha
of Tallahassee, and sister-in-law Judy Revell of Marianna.
