BALLSTON LAKE - Pasquale J. Monaco passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Patsy was a good, decent man, loved and respected by all. He was a graduate of Ballston Spa High School and the first student to captain three major sports in one season. In 1957, Patsy was awarded a four-year football scholarship to Florida State University, the Seminoles, #69, playing alongside #20 Burt Reynolds. An injury sent Patsy back to Ballston Spa where he would meet the love of his life, Verna French, and begin what became his true legacy, his family.

Patsy was one of fifteen children, ten boys and five girls. He was predeceased by his parents, Pasquale and Antoinette Monaco, and all of his fourteen siblings, Albert, Anthony, Bernard, Donald, Harry, James, Joseph, Louis, Olivio, Jenny Odorizzi, Josephine Dufort, Kathryn D'Ambro, Sophie Wolfersheim, and Theresa Monaco. Patsy is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Verna, and their six adoring children, Antoinette McCollum, Sonta Mone, Pasquale Monaco (Rhonda), Theresa Little (John), Jennifer Gregory (Tom), and Robert Monaco (Andrea). He was the proud grandfather of Nicholas Mone (Casey), Antoinette Prock (Josh), Matthew Little (Joanna), John Little, Ronald Redmond, Anthony Monaco, Joseph Monaco, and Keenon McCollum; and great-grandfather of Addison Prock, Mason Redmond, Cody Redmond, Melanie Little, and Isabelle Little. He is also survived by several extended family members and numerous nieces and nephews.
