Leonard (Dutch) Philion, age 76 of Royal Oak (formerly of Brighton) passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009. Born to Athur and Diane (Blias) Philion on December 20, 1932 in Highland Park. He was formerly in the U.S. Army and belonged to the American Legion #225 of Lansing. Preceding him in death was his first wife, Jacqueline (Bogos) Philion. He is survived by: his wife, Elizabeth (Sinacola) Philion of Royal Oak; 2 sons, Daniel Philion of Brighton, Donald (Chris) Philion of Traverse City; 1 daughter, Cheryl (Fred) Versteeg of Utah; step children, Arlene (Mike) Gonyea of Florida, Robert Mihelich of Royal Oak, Larry (Andrea) Mihelich of Sterling Heights, John (Darlene) Mihelich of White Lake, 14 grandchildren; 4 brothers, Norman Philion, Fr. Rich Philion, Donald Philion and Albert Philion; 5 sisters, Virginia Rosman, Karen Connolly, Mary Jane Sarchian, Janet (Richard) Surdu and Nancy Wojick.
