Gordon B. Johnston, 82, former County Attorney, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on September 1, 2022 at his home. Gordon was born in Sebring to the late R. Lamar and Martha (Gardner) Johnston. He graduated from Vero Beach High School; attended William & Mary (on a football scholarship) and Florida State University (on a baseball scholarship) to earn his undergraduate degree; and University of Florida to earn his juris doctorate. Gordon was awarded a 50-year award from The Florida Bar. He was on the Board of Directors of the FSU Varsity Club. Gordon enjoyed playing golf and attending FSU athletic events.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cindy; two sons Bobby and Greg, two granddaughters, two great-grandsons of Vero Beach; nieces and nephews; and his fur baby, Sarge. In addition to his parents, Gordon is predeceased by his sister, Lamarcia Marshall.
