George Emmanuel Klimes, 77, of Madeira Beach and formerly of Tarpon Springs, died Saturday (July 22, 2006) at St. Petersburg General Hospital.

He moved to Tarpon Springs in 1937 from his native Gary, Ind., moved in 1955 to Washington, and came to Madeira Beach in 1971. He owned and operated Kay Structural Steel Painting Co. and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Barbara; three sons, Manuel and Nicholas, both of St. Petersburg, and George, University Park, Md.; a daughter, Annalea Klimes, St. Petersburg; and two grandchildren.
