Robert William Roesch Obituary. Published by the Tallahassee Democrat on Nov 14, 1995, page 30. Robert William Roesch, 70, of Tallahassee died Monday. A native of Bradenton, he had lived in Tallahassee since 1934. He retired in 1991 as director of research and planning for the Department of Corrections, was a former general agent for American Heritage Insurance Co., and was past director of the Office of Economic Opportunity under Gov. Claude Kirk. He was the first commanding officer for Company C, 8th Tank Battalion, 4th Marine Division in Tallahassee, and was a charter member of the Colonel's Club and Capital City Country Club. He was Bond No. 1 for Phi Delta Theta fraternity at Florida State University, and was a member of the first FSU men's basketball team. He was a member of Episcopal Church of the Advent. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Carlson Roesch of
Tallahassee; two sons, Robert "Rusty" Roesch Jr. of Alexandria, Va., and
Patrick Roesch of China Lake, Calif.; three daughters, Sidney Carlson
Schneider, Missy Gunnels and Tina Davis, all of Tallahassee; a brother,
Karl Roesch Jr. of Tallahassee; and seven grandchildren. |
