Obituary for Keith Kinderman. From Culley's Meadow Wood Funeral Home Keith Kinderman passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 23rd surrounded by his family. After a courageous battle with cancer, he is now in the loving arms of His Savior, Jesus Christ. Although born in Chicago, he put his roots down in Tallahassee after earning a bachelor's degree at Florida State University, where he was a member of the Seminole football team. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers and played on the 1963 Charger championship team. After three years in the pros he returned to Tallahassee, attended law school at Florida State, and began his career as an attorney in private practice. After retiring, he became an accomplished carpenter and cabinetmaker and spent many hours in his shop. Among Keith's many creations were cabinets for his favorite place on earth, his second home in West Virginia, hobby horses for toddlers, fine furniture, and many gifts for his friends. His family and friends will miss his dynamic persona and his true grit. He was one-of-a-kind, loving, witty, forthright, original, and caring. Keith was also a man of unusual inner strength, and his life was marked by the impact he had on young people and his deep desire to guide them as they moved from youth to adulthood. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Suzanne, a daughter Krista (Erik) Snyder, grandsons Quinton (Beth) Snyder and Ben Carter as well as two great grandchildren, Keith Thomas and Laura Snyder. He was preceded in death by his son, Spodie (Keith, Jr.) Kinderman. He is now enjoying a long-awaited reunion with his son.
